Birch Creek Music Performance Center Birch Creek is a unique, performance-based summer music program for youth and adults in Door County.

Birch Creek, located in the heart of Wisconsin's beautiful Door County, is a young musician's dream. Founded in 1976, this unique summer music academy and concert venue provides talented students, ages 13 to 19, advanced training as well as the opportunity to perform publicly alongside some of the top music professionals in the country. Birch Creek offers four two-week summer sessions: Percussion

& Steel Band, Symphony, and Jazz (two sessions). The student-to-faculty ratio averages 2:1, ensuring that students receive attentive mentoring from top music educators and professionals. Following the academy season we also offer a Symphonic Wind Ensemble Camp (formerly Adult Band Camp) for community band members and music teachers and a Chamber Music Retreat for adult musicians at an intermediate or above level.

Want to learn from the best in the business? 🎷✨

Take a look at the incredible artist-faculty lineups for the 2026 season! These legendary performers, recording artists, and elite educators are coming from across the country to teach at the Birch Creek Big Band Jazz academy sessions this summer.

Our unique program offers student musicians (entering grade 7 through graduating grade 12) an unmatched learning experience. Your days will be packed with masterclasses, combo workshops, and big band rehearsals and performances led by these pros.

• Jazz I: July 12 – 25
• Jazz II: July 26 – August 8

Tuition includes room and board on our historic campus. Need-based and merit scholarships are available to help get you here!
