WOW! Look at everything we’ve collected for tomorrow’s Adaptive Equipment Exchange!

Wheelchairs, adaptive strollers, bikes, medical supplies, safety equipment, toys, and SO much more! And we’re still receiving donations!

Everything is FREE for individuals with disabilities and their families!

A few reminders for tomorrow:

♿ All items are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

📝 Upon arrival, participants will register and sign a waiver before entering the exchange.

🚪 Signs will direct you to the entrance. If the weather is rainy, we’ll have everyone line up indoors. Otherwise, the line will form outside.

🛍️ Item limits will apply to help ensure as many families as possible can benefit.

💗 Donations Appreciated! While everything is FREE and donations are never required, they are greatly appreciated! This event comes with significant costs, and your support helps make future events possible. Cash donation boxes and a PayPal QR code will be available at the event. Every little bit helps!

Getting ready for 2027! 💙

Our team was at the Bayfront Convention Center this week for a walk-through and to start planning out the space for next year’s Disability Resource Fair of NWPA!

It’s so exciting to see the space in person and start imagining everything we have planned coming together. We have some BIG things in the works for 2027, and we can’t wait to share more!

👀 **FINAL SNEAK PEEK!**

We’re getting SO close to the **NWPA Adaptive Equipment Exchange!** Here’s one last look at just some of the equipment that will be available this Sunday!

Before you come, please take a minute to read through the event guidelines below so we can keep things fair, organized, and running smoothly for everyone. 💙

⭐ **FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED**
We will allow **5 families in at a time**. Families waiting to enter will form a single-file line outside.

⭐ **PLEASE KEEP THE ENTRANCE CLEAR**
We only have one hour to set up before the Exchange begins. Please keep the entrance and unloading area clear so our volunteers can bring donated equipment into the building.

⭐ **ITEM LIMITS**
Each family may initially choose:
• **1 large item**
• **3 small items**

During the **final hour**, we plan to lift item limits. We may lift them earlier depending on how much equipment remains.

⭐ **LARGE ITEM HOLDS**
Large items may be held for **30 minutes** while you arrange transportation. Items must be picked up within that time. **We are unable to provide delivery.**

⭐ **NO EARLY PICKUPS OR HOLDS**
To keep the Exchange fair for everyone, we cannot hold, reserve, or distribute items before the event. All equipment will be available **during Exchange hours only**.

If you cannot attend, you are welcome to send a **friend, family member, caregiver, employee, or other representative** to select items on your behalf.

⭐ **NOT FOR RESALE**
This event is intended to help individuals with disabilities and their families access equipment they need. Items are **not intended for resale**.

💙 **Everything is FREE. Donations are always appreciated but never required.**

🚚 A HUGE thank you to Penske!

We are incredibly grateful to Penske for donating the use of a 26-foot moving truck with a ramp for this weekend’s NWPA Adaptive Equipment Exchange!

With the amount of adaptive equipment we’ll be transporting, logistics are a BIG part of making this event happen. Penske’s generous donation gives our team an entire truck to transport equipment to the Exchange—and we’ll actually be renting an additional moving truck as well to get everything where it needs to go!

Community support like this helps us keep the Adaptive Equipment Exchange completely free for families. 💙

Our FREE Adaptive Equipment Exchange is just one week away!

Come browse adaptive equipment and supplies that have been donated by our community — completely FREE.

💙 You do NOT need to bring equipment to participate.
If you have something to donate, wonderful! If you don’t, come anyway. The whole purpose of the exchange is to help get useful equipment into the hands of people and families who can use it.

🏠 The secret is out!

We’ve been working behind the scenes on several exciting new additions for the 2027 Disability Resource Fair of NWPA, and we’re thrilled to officially announce our Home & Accessibility Pavilion!

Renovate Erie will be helping bring this space to life with interactive, real-world accessibility displays throughout the home — kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, entrances, living spaces and more.

This is exactly what we envisioned for our 2027 pavilions: not just tables and brochures, but spaces where people can see, touch, explore and experience resources and solutions firsthand.

And this is only the first pavilion announcement. 👀

We have SO much more coming for May 22, 2027 at the Bayfront Convention Center!

Huge thank you to Renovate Erie for jumping in and helping us make this vision happen. ❤️

💙 Planning to come to the NWPA Adaptive Equipment Exchange? Here are a few important things to know!

First and most importantly: You do NOT have to bring an item to donate in order to take equipment home. If you or someone you care for can use something that is available, you are welcome to participate!

A few reminders about how the Exchange will work:

• Everything is FREE — nothing is bought or sold.
• You may take 1 large item and up to 3 small items during the main portion of the event.
• If you choose a large item, please come prepared to take it with you. We can only hold large items for 30 minutes.
• We are not able to hold items for later pickup beyond that 30-minute window.
• We do not offer delivery, so please make arrangements ahead of time if you may need help transporting larger equipment.
• During the final hour, item limits will be lifted so we can help as much equipment as possible find a new home.
• We’ll allow approximately 5 families at a time into the equipment area.
• A waiver will be required before taking equipment.
• The Exchange is intended for individuals with disabilities, families and caregivers — not for resale.

🚨🚨 WE’RE MOVING TO A BIGGER SPACE! 🚨🚨

The response to our NWPA Adaptive Equipment Exchange has been incredible — so incredible that we’ve already outgrown our original location!

We are thrilled to announce that the Adaptive Equipment Exchange will now be held at:

📍 Mellon Heritage Veteran’s Outreach Campus
2142 Freeport Road
North East, PA 16428
(Former Mercyhurst North East Campus)

Our new location gives us much more space for all of the adaptive equipment, mobility devices, medical equipment, sensory items, and other resources being donated for local families.
