Hello all! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that this email finds all of you well.
As you know, the reunion being planned is for July 2020 there at the HOTH, only 8 months away. It will be here before we know it. I would like to make this as fun for everyone as possible and as low cost as possible. It would be great if we can all contribute something, either in great garage sale item finds, in talent, or item donations, to put on the following fun reunion events:
Grandma's Table - laminated copies Grandma's Recipe Cards ,plastic picture 8 by11 in or 5 by 8 in frames that can be painted or decorated
Grandma's Birthday Bash - Ice Cream, Waffle Bowls, ice cream toppings such as sprinkles, gummies, nuts, candies, and syrups, napkins, spoons, balloons, streamers, banner, party favors
Silent Auction - bring your items to the reunion ready to be displayed Sunday
Tie-Dye Fun - bring one item for you and each of your family to tie-dye like a top, a t-shirt, a scarf, cap; variety of sizes of rubber bands, gallon size zip lock bags, rubber gloves, clear squirt ink bottles, clear storage bins
Tent/Yard games - board games, card games, bean bag toss, adult drinking games, giant Jenga game, one minute challenge games, clear plastic bins to store games in tent Kid's Hangout Area - sofa and chairs, bean bag chairs, couple of low tables, an area rug, floor lamps, box fan, TV monitor, game system, and games (all items to be rented or borrowed for entire week)
Friendship Bracelet Corner - Bead and Charm organizer, beads, charms,embroidery thread, paracord, leather cord, design books. zip lock quart size bags, clear plastic bin to store materials and individual projects
Picnic Fun Day - For the picnic part -2 bbq pits, charcoal, heavy duty foil, bbq tools, ice, ice chests, paper towels, paper plates, plastic utensils, plastic cups, bottles of water, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, salt and pepper, pickles, relish, chips, cookies; each family will buy and bring their own meats and bread rolls for their family as well as a side dish to share.
For the Fun day part, for the kids water play area: bubble wand kits for giant bubbles, fun water sprinkler toys,slip n slide, small kiddie pool for "fishing" game For the Drone races: drone outdoor obstacle course hoops, cheap drones and batteries.
For the relay races: liquid spray chalk, water balloons. Lastly, watermelons (for watermelon eating contest),
For Facepainting booth, face paints, stencils, glitter, baby wipes, brushes, hand mirrors.
Scary Movie Night - popcorn oil, popcorn,popcorn salt, small paper bags
Prizes for tent and fun day events- gift cards $10 value Tent grounds - Heavy duty 95 gallon trash bags, pool noodles, large eraser board and dry eraser markers, dry eraser, rolls of clear plastic sheeting (table covers), large TV monitor, speaker/PA system, box fans for tent, bug zappers, Clorox wipes.
