Calling All Young Pitmasters! 🍔

If you have a young pitmaster planning to join you at Meat Inferno, we have the perfect opportunity for them on Friday night (9/11)!

The Meat Inferno KidsQ Competition is free to enter, and most supplies are provided. Kids ages 5–15 will have the chance to cook up delicious burgers for our local judges and compete for:

🏅 A BIG medal

Happy first day of Spring, BBQ friends! While the weather is warming up, we’re already fired up and looking forward to fall BBQ in Edgerton!

Exciting News!
We are thrilled to announce that the dates for the 2026 Meat Inferno have been officially secured with the Kansas City Barbeque Society!
You’ll notice that we’ve moved the event from the first weekend in October to September 11–12, 2026. The October weekend has become increasingly busy for many, and we hope this new date offers a better opportunity for more teams to participate—while still enjoying great fall weather.
The updated dates are now listed on the KCBS website. Registration will open in spring 2026, but if you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to reach out to Brittany at [email protected].
