Feel the heat at Chilimania in Edgerton, WI! An epic festival with live music, chili & salsa cook-offs, pepper eating contest & spicy fun all weekend!

Held the first weekend after Labor Day. Proceeds benefit local students, schools, and community causes. Chilimania is held annually on the first Saturday after Labor Day in Edgerton, Wisconsin. It is home to the Wisconsin State Championship CASI-Sanctioned Chili Cook-Off, a traditional chili cooking contest, and a salsa contest. Chilimania, a not-for-profit organization, started from a grand vision and began its first year with fewer than 20 cook-off participants. The event drew a loyal crowd that continued to grow year after year, as the festival consistently booked some of the Midwest’s best-known headlining bands on its Main Stage.

… To one of Edgerton’s favorite events! Today, the group has given back to the community during the past 30+ years through annual spring scholarships to graduating Edgerton high school students, community donations, and many other Edgerton Student Clubs and Athletics.

As Memorial Day comes to a close, we first want to take a moment to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives for our freedom. 🇺🇸 We’re incredibly grateful for the sacrifices that allow communities like ours to gather, celebrate, and make memories together.

A few months back we had you all voting and throwing out guesses for who this year’s country headliner could be for Chilimania Weekend… and let’s just say your expectations were HIGH.

So high, in fact, that the artist we landed on wasn’t even on the list. 😏

The music is loud. The chili is hot. But the impact our community makes together is even bigger. ❤️🌶️

Last night, Chilimania volunteers Justin Miller and Dr. Thomas Reitz had the honor of attending the Edgerton High School Scholarship Ceremony and helping award an incredible $30,000 in scholarships to local students.

And moments like this are the heart of Chilimania.

Yes, we love the music. Yes, we love the chili. But from the very beginning, Chilimania has always been about something bigger, making a real difference right here in our community. Every ticket purchased, every sponsorship, every donation, every beer poured, every bowl served, and every person who shows up to celebrate with us helps create opportunities for students like these.

To this year’s scholarship recipients, congratulations. We’re proud to be a small part of your journey and can’t wait to see where life takes you next.

And to everyone who has attended, volunteered, donated, sponsored, cooked, performed, or supported Chilimania over the years, thank you. You are the reason this festival continues to give back year after year.
