On April 1 Skye’s Trivia Variety Show will have its 40th consecutive monthly event, so you’d be a FOOL not to come! (see what we did there?) In our 4th year, it’s time we take a look back at what we’ve done during our epic run at Marigold Theater. Accordingly, you the audience- our community- will have the floor to exchange stories about the big events and accomplishments of your lives. In between our shared vignettes, this event will feature our favorite trivia questions from the past 3 1/2 years. Call it a clip show, a best of, and a chance to experience some of what you’ve missed. Season 4, Episode 4, don’t miss it!

ABOUT THE TRIVIA PIECE:
We all suck at trivia. Our goal isn’t to test you but to playfully roll around in the theme of the month. You’ll laugh, you might cry, and you’ll definitely learn something. Teams of any size, play alone, play casually, or get into it. We’ll introduce you to some new people to play with if you’d like. If you like to compete, Marigold gift cards of $50 and $25 for the top two scoring teams, and in Season 4, we have introduced the legacy Popcorn Noir Traveling Trivia Trophy from an alternate timeline. Winning team takes it home for the month, with license to adorn it as they see fit.

SKYE’S TRIVIA VARIETY SHOW is a collaborative q***r-run production, written by Harper Doherty and hosted by Ivy Davida and Elana Rosičková. Dreaming of a better world? Staring off across the snowy landscape.... imagining? Getting in extra sleep during winter hibernation times and maxing out those hours in REM state? Who are you in your dreams? Do you have more fun in dreamland than in your waking life? We’ll consider the world of the dream in our third installation of Skye’s Trivia Variety Show Season Four.

After last month’s focus on history and experimental improv theater, we’ll dial back the “show” aspect a bit and plunge into trivia on an epic list of cultural references to all things dream, and maybe some about the science of dreams. But if you’ve got a story about a dream you once had, you will most certainly have the floor. Musical types interested in singing or performing a “dream” song, or crafting a name-that-tune category, get in touch ASAP!

Hosts Ivy Davida and Elana Rosičková will continue their eternal campaign of supporting q***r joy and community. Come laugh, learn, and commune in a warm oasis of light in cold, dark times!

Thanks to the community of Skye’s Trivia Variety Show at THE MOON, last night’s Season 4 Premiere- our 37th consecutive monthly gathering. The legacy Popcorn Noir traveling trivia trophy, coming to us from an alternate timeline last month was, fittingly, awarded to the Popcorn Noir legacy team, who this month chose the theme appropriate name “Lunar? I Hardly Known Her” in a very well-attended event. Warm feeling all around as we explored the science, cultural reference and the mythos of the Moon and engaged in shared solace during dark times. F**K ICE.

Season 4 Premiere!

Skye’s Trivia Variety Show’s 4th year starts off on The Moon! For our 37th consecutive monthly, free, all-ages event we’re going lunar, exploring all things moon, be they astronomical, astrological, mystical, symbolic, or cultural references to La Luna.

Hosts Ivy Davida and Elana Rosičková will continue their eternal campaign of supporting q***r joy and community. What does the Moon mean to you? Come feel about it this January.

ABOUT THE TRIVIA PIECE:

Marigold Theater is a smoke-free, wheelchair accessible space (enter through main entrance, slight incline upon entry, no steps). Masks are welcome but not required. There are no scent-free rules. Outside food is welcome except in the adjoining café. Please no outside beverages. The space has a capacity of 150. Marigold is a q***r-friendly establishment.

PARKING: All nearby parking is free. If no parking is available on nearby streets or in the lot across the street, there is a large parking lot at City Hall municipal building at 50 Payson Avenue, across the street from the pond and boardwalk

BRING COOKIES! This event will double as a cookie 🍪 swap.

The 2025 season finale of Skye’s Trivia Variety Show is here and it’s “C” is For Cookie. When we say the name, you say “that’s good enough for me.” But we’ll cover more than the song, more than Sesame Street, and more than cookies. We’ll get into all kinds of things that start with the letter C. Come be silly and Connect with Community, some Comforting Company to Complete the 3rd year of our show. Our event is not (just) a “trivia night,” it’s a collaborative, q***r-run, monthly themed variety show. The goal is q***r joy and q***r community building and we can’t do it without you.
