Hello all!! Hope you are enjoying the Holiday weekend. Two chances to get those dues paid, if you haven't.

Let's start the week with line dance lessons on Tuesday. I am bringing back "A Little Love Worth Waiting 4". I encourage you to wear some orange. I will have some extra orange if you do not have and wish to. And there will be watermelon. Fun begins at 6:30.

Friday the 29th will be a free, yes, free, dance, to close out our illustrious Treasurer, Larry Brown's tenure. It has been a pleasure sitting next to him at our club meetings. No less appreciated is our Vice President, Corinne Brown, closing out her stint. They will be missed..Again, thank you for your continued support of MVCDA.

Hello Dancing Friends!

First a word from the Prez:
What a nice weekend. Hope you all had fun. May is going to be a fun month for us. Free Friday the 29th.
Thank you to the RIchardson's for stepping up and giving the Board a new look for the next year. Much thanks to the Brown's for their two years of service. Stay alert, who knows what we may come up with in the next year.

Friday night we had two, yes two, fire alarms. Thanks to Ken and Dave R. for taking care of it.

This Friday we will pay tribute to Mother's Day. We are setting up four tables in hopes of a big crowd with door prizes, wanna guess from who? Many thanks to all our Friday night gang from your "lame duck", google it,

Hello Dancing Friends!

I have attached the March MVCDA membership meeting minutes.

From the Prez:
Well, the Cubs did get to ten wins in a row and then lost. Hope you weekend was great, weather was.

We had 14 at the dance last Friday and they kept the dance floor busy. Thanks to birthday girl Betty L., I won the 50/50. A big thank you to all for help cleaning up, as usual.

I hope you will spend May Day with us this Friday for a quick meeting at 6:45pm and then our dance. We are supposed to vote on the new board. As of this moment, no one has come forward to take over the Treasurer's position. If no one comes forward, I will simply take that over. I live within 5 minutes of IH Cr Un, and can easily make a deposit on Saturday's.

The flash mob is at 3 PM at an Iowa Hy-Vee on East 53rd Davenport location hosted by Amy and then at 5 PM there will be a flash mob in Moline at the John Deere pavilion hosted by Meghan. (from Meghan's Facebook - we will be participating in the international line dance day flash mob! Anyone can join.

Hey Dancing Friends!

First news from the Prez:
What a week! I asked to change dance night, then a storm changed my plans to Saturday night. Concerns over missing key dancers lead to my cancelling the Saturday night dance. Hope all survived the storm and whatever else was going on.
We will be back in full force this week.
Lessons on Tuesday and dance on Friday.
Thank you for your understanding and hope to see a lot of you this week.

The dance for Saturday, April 18th. 2026 is canceled due to lack of interest or too much weird weather going on and people don't want to get too far away from home if they get caught in the weather. So sorry to let you know that Saturday 18th of April 2026 dance is hereby canceled officially. Have a wonderful weekend. Stay dry and safe!

First a word from the Prez:

Hello Friday night party people! A quick review of the Easter Dance March 27th. Great crowd. I thought our occasional guess might have come due to my May 25th ditty about having a table for them, but no, they just came. HAHA. Coming up, free lessons 3/31, maybe wear some orange.
No dance 4/3. Have a great Easter.
Meeting and dance 4/10.
Board nominations??
Dance Saturday 4/18, rather than Friday. Ken is out of town and I have a family ceremony I would like to go to. Please text me at 309.299.3116 if Saturday does not work for you. No exclamation needed.

Hey Dancing Friends,
Here is a quick "ditty" from the Prez about Friday night 3/27/26:

Hello Dancers. As I was putting plastic Easter eggs across my garage, I thought, why not decorate for Easter Friday, as we are not dancing Good Friday! So, 4 tables will be decorated with green and yellow table clothes, a few plastic eggs and who know what will show up!! So, sometimes dancers out there, here is a party for you to consider and there will be a table just for you! Put on your Easter colors and have some fun!!

Tuesday lessons have been good for some time now, the club took in $84 just in March, so I am declaring the 5th Tuesday as a free review night!! If we spill over to the dance floor, I will move enough mats to accommodate all.
