Make Music Upper Perk Always June 21st,
Make Music Upper Perk celebrates music and community, bringing people together! The first notes drop at 9 a.m. the final ones fade at 10 p.m.

Make Music is an international movement to celebrate the power of local music. Cities, towns, and hamlets all over the world will be making music on June 21st, on the longest day of the year. Since 2013, Make Music Upper Perk has been part of this worldwide celebration. MMUP will take place at over 20 venues in five towns throughout the Upper Perkiomen Valley. All performances are free & open to t

he public! Musicians of all ages and abilities are included, both amateurs and professionals. Everyone is a volunteer: organizers, musicians, site hosts, etc. For more information on how to participate, or to see the program, follow this page -- or go to ValleyArtScene.wordpress.com. 16 venues, 6 towns! The Upper Perkiomen Valley is unique in that we are many small towns that are connected geographically and culturally. On June 21st, no matter where you are in the Valley, the music will be near you! We will have musicians in Sumneytown, Green Lane, Red Hill, Pennsburg, East Greenville, and Palm! Where will you be?

NEW VENUE for ’26 is The Carriage House restaurant in Palm. The music will be on their grassy hillside behind the restaurant. You'll see arrows directing you to the path to the music . And of course if you are hungry, there is good food right there. (But you can listen to the music even if you aren’t dining!)

We are pleased to announce..... a NEW VENUE for ’26 is Palm Schwenkfelder Church in Palm. Last year, they received PopUp musicians; this year, they are NINE to NOON as a venue! Stop by the lovely setting of their grove of trees, to the right of the building, to enjoy the music. Plenty of parking! Plenty of music!

Recently, someone asked what was the role of music in the Upper Perkiomen community. Take a look at the evidence: last week's district-wide arts week, concluding with the final concert of the High School Choral director, Dr. Mark Thomas, after a successful 27 year career, the Valley Choral Society spring concert, and The Red Hill Band spring concert. Mix in regular open mics, and community events offering music, it's safe to say, the musical arts are alive and strong! Join us on June 21st for more evidence!
