Make Music Upper Perk Always June 21st,
Make Music Upper Perk celebrates music and community, bringing people together! The first notes drop at 9 a.m. the final ones fade at 10 p.m.

Make Music is an international movement to celebrate the power of local music. Cities, towns, and hamlets all over the world will be making music on June 21st, on the longest day of the year. Since 2013, Make Music Upper Perk has been part of this worldwide celebration. MMUP will take place at over 20 venues in five towns throughout the Upper Perkiomen Valley. All performances are free & open to t

he public! Musicians of all ages and abilities are included, both amateurs and professionals. Everyone is a volunteer: organizers, musicians, site hosts, etc. For more information on how to participate, or to see the program, follow this page -- or go to ValleyArtScene.wordpress.com. Grassroots funded, MMUP is a 501c3. Donations are welcome at anytime by going to ValleyArtScene.wordpress.com. Make Music Upper Perk is co-sponsored by ValleyArtScene and Grace Notes Piano Studio. A: If you look closely that printed program, you’ll see some of them are framed with a dashed line. Those are places where food is available. You do not need to abandon the music to find a meal. You can eat AND tap your feet!

YOU can be a music maker on June 21st! There are several options to join in the fun and make some music…..try out an instrument at the Instrument Petting Zoos (12 at Palm Church, 2 at St. Mark’s), build an organ at the Orgelkids workshop (inside at St. Mark’s at noon), join the fun preschool Musical Me (2 in the children’s Library at St. Mark’s), learn to play the harmonica (near the gazebo lawn of St. Mark’s at 3), sing along with the hymn sing (6 at St. Mark’s) or the closing campfire (9 p.m.at New Goshenhoppen Park). Keep your eyes open, you are going to start seeing Yarnbombing popping up around town! These yarn creations have been crafted by talented needlworkers in our area, and applied by our ‘exterior decorators’ to add a pop of color and whimsy to our venues. Yarnbombing as a form of public art can be found around the world….and in our little piece of the world!
