The Dancing Witches of Gem Radio Theatre sound like an absolute delight—exactly the kind of wholesome, whimsical Halloween-adjacent magic that lights up the fall season in the Southern Adirondacks! Formed in 2021 by Gem Radio Theatre (based in places like Johnsburg/North Creek, NY), this troupe reimagines Mary Wigman's iconic 1919 Hexentanz (Witch Dance) as a joyful, modern celebration of peace, love, healing, and community rather than anything dark or eerie.

They tour charming local spots—farmers' markets, festivals, parks, nursing homes, schools, and community events—dressed in vibrant, flowing costumes complete with pointy hats, broomsticks, colorful wigs, masks, and accessories. Their performances blend expressive dance, music, sound elements, and audience interaction to spread positive energy and get everyone (kids to seniors) moving and smiling.
