Steampunk Festivals

Steampunk Festivals Steampunk whimsy in boisterous settings! A place for all Steampunk festivals!

Most of the large Steampunk events out there are either big shows and concerts, or conventions, and both of those can do some pretty fantastic things. This group is created to honor and support that rather stranger duck – the Steampunk Festival. We absolutely love all kinds of Steampunk events, and are definitely not here to say that one kind is better than another! We just want to lend some signa

l to the particular brand of organized chaotic whimsy which makes up a festival of Steam. This group is started by one of the co-founders of The Steampunk World’s Fair, which is proud to have been one of the pioneers of Steampunk festivals.

A 1920s cobalt blue Zeppelin decanter!

Crafted from the deep blue fire of cobalt oxide—a secret mastered by ancient Egyptian artisans—this stunning piece roared back into fashion with glassmakers in Czechoslovakia and the United States. Its vibrant hue captures the era’s electric spirit, while those metallic bands and brass supports channel the clanking, riveted soul of Victorian machinery, reimagined for our bold, retro-futuristic world!

Behold the zeppelin’s sleek silhouette, a tribute to the golden age of airship travel that soared in the 1920s with giants like the Graf Zeppelin ruling the skies. These airships, engines humming with steam and steel, whisked the elite across oceans, their grandeur fueling steampunk’s wildest dreams. This cobalt glass marvel, likely a bar set with its matching tumblers, transforms utility into adventure—imagine it hovering over a clandestine gathering, where every pour sparks a tale of high-flying intrigue and industrial might!

Join us, thrill-seekers, you inventors and skyward dreamers, as this piece fuses history with imagination! The 1920s celebrated cobalt glass and zeppelins as icons of progress, now reborn through steampunk’s lens with a rebellious edge. With its gleaming glass and promise of escape, this zeppelin invites you to raise a tumbler to a world of steam-powered glory!

“The wind outside nested in each tree, prowled the sidewalks in invisible treads like unseen cats. Tom Skelton shivered. Anyone could see that the wind was a special wind this night, and the darkness took on a special feel because it was All Hallows’ Eve. Everything seemed cut from soft black velvet or gold or orange velvet. Smoke panted up out of a thousand chimneys like the plumes of funeral parades. From kitchen windows drifted two pumpkin smells: gourds being cut, pies being baked.”
