An Eagles Mere Tradition

Water Carnival is one of Eagles Mere's oldest traditions, dating back to the late 1800's. Each year, the illuminated floats cruise around the lake visiting both the Edgemere Boat Dock and the Bathing Beach. The floats are judged by a group of Eagles Mere's finest who determine the best in theme, beauty, originality, and humor. While the Carnival has evolved in scope over the years, its spirit has remained the same, proving to be one of Eagles Mere's most beloved events.
