Hope to see folks tomorrow! We've got stacks of stuff prepped to be put out in the morning. If you've got some gear you're interested in selling bring it on by tomorrow before the event begins. 2018 Spring Outdoor Adventure Gear Swap / Yard Sale, NEW FORMAT. Sunday, April 29 from 9am to 2pm. Find that amazing deal on some high end outdoor equipment! Or sell some of the gear and clothing that's been collecting dust in your garage or closet for too long.

There is no charge for sellers to set up. Sellers are encouraged to bring any outdoor adventure related clothing or equipment (canoes, kayaks, tents, backpacks, bikes, camping equipment, fleece clothing, etc, etc, etc). No tables are provided so please bring one if you have it. Blankets or tarps work too :) Sellers are encouraged to have all items set up by 8:45.

The event will be held at Frog Hollow Outdoors (614 Trent Dr) and the neighboring parking area.

If you know what you are bringing and want to promote it, post it in the discussion comments here. Likewise, if you are searching for some particular item you'd like to buy, post it in the discussion comments.

The event may move partially indoors if it's a rainy day. If it looks like a total washout, we may reschedule the Gear Swap for later in the Spring or early Summer.

If you have items you're interested in selling but prefer not to spend you entire day at the Gear Swap, or you will be out of town, you can sell things on consignment. Any items being put on consignment must be tagged with a price and dropped off at least two days prior to the Swap Event. A consignment fee will be retained if the item sells. To learn more or consign gear please email [email protected], or drop by Frog Hollow during their regular office hours. Any consignor fees collected will go into the Second Nature Fund to help create opportunities to get diverse populations into the great outdoors.

The 2017 Spring Adventure Gear Yard Sale is scheduled for Sunday, May 7 from 9am - 2pm at 614 Trent Dr in Durham, NC. We will have a bunch of great stuff to raise money to replenish the Second Nature Fund. This is used to help get diverse population get into the great outdoors. Currently we know there will be 6-7 different SUPs, a few touring kayaks, a few whitewater kayaks, and a couple recreational kayaks and canoes. We'll post a more comprehensive list of items and event details next week. We hope to see you there!

Alrighty. It's a long post but here's some info about the Adventure Gear Yard Sale Event on November 12, 8am-2pm. This annual event is held to replenish the Second Nature Fund which is used to get diverse and deserving populations into the outdoors. Come get some great gear at great prices and help a good cause all at the same time! Here's a brief preview of some of the items that will be on consignment:
- Kayaks (roughly a dozen boats - touring, whitewater, recreational, and fishing - Wilderness Systems, Perception, Titan, Fluid, Jackson, Walden and more)
- Tons of Fleece and cold weather gear (North Face, Mountain Hardwear, Patagonia REI, EMS, Sierra Designs, Arcteryx, and more!)
- Lots of kid specific gear and clothing (water proof breathables, fleece, helmets, kayaks, bikes, shoes, etc)
- 5 different dry tops (med and lg, in varying degrees of condition)
- Tons of wetsuits and wetsuit pieces (smalls to larges)
- insulating paddling tops
- Tents (Big Agnes, North Face, Sierra Designs, Alps and more)
- Bikes, bike racks, bike stands, parts and clothing (fat tire bike, vintage schwinn cruisers, Cannondale, Performance and more)

Howdy y'all. The adventure gear yard sale and consignment gear event is set for November 12! It'll be at Frog Hollow Outdoors on Trent Dr in Durham staying at 8 a.m. and will help replenish the Second Nature fund to help get diverse populations into the outdoors. More info to come!
