NC Squares Old-Time Square Dance

On March 8, we'll be hosting some square dancing at Bay 7 in the American To***co Campus in downtown Durham, NC(right next to the Lucky Strike water tower).

Family Square Dance, 5-6pm. Slower-paced, for kiddos and their adults. Expect lots of easy moves and a rice-crispy styled cake walk. Featuring music by The Hodge Podge String Band.

Big Square Dance, 7-9pm. Faster-paced, for anyone out for an adventure. Expect some easy moves, some silly moves, a good time for anyone, and a cake walk "for adults". Featuring music by The Lucky Strike Outs: Mike DeVito, Hasee Ciaccio, Vivian Leva, and Aaron Tacke. The caller will be Nancy Mamlin for both dances.

You can choose to pay for a $10, $15, or $20 ticket based on your personal financial situation and ability to support the local arts scene. Kids under 12 are free! One ticket will get you into both dances.

Full Steam will be selling beer at both dances and Queen Burger/Mellow Mushroom will be open if you wanna grab food beforehand.

A fun community dance event to meet new people, hang with old friends, and hear some great music. Advance tickets are strongly recommended.

Square dance on Saturday, March 22nd from 7:30-9:30 at Jubilee Baptist Church (2025 Ephesus Church Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27517). No partner required. Abby Huggins calling and David Bass + the Rogue Pickup band will provide the music. This will be our first dance of 4 this year. The others will be on June 21, September 20, and December 20 all at Jubilee. Entrance fee is $10-20 sliding scale, you can pay by CASH or VENMO only at the door. Hope to see y'all then.
