Say hello to the new face of Creekside’s Canned Ham Food Drive, local model Jenna Brevig! Jenna endured an entire day of costume, location, and pose changes like the absolute pro she is! Also, shout out to Elizabeth Miller at for lending us the vintage clothes used in this shoot, all from her amazing collection housed in her shop in St. Elmo. I can’t recommend the professionalism of these two women enough.
Last, but certainly not least is our professional photographer Stuart Taff. Surely his years of shooting models in NYC got put to the test in this barn environment, but it never showed. No bad lighting situation was too challenging as he dragged his lights and equipment from the big Canned Ham Stage to the more intimate Hornet’s Nest Stage. Now I’m faced with the daunting task of picking the best shots out of 250, all excellent. What a great team!

Paragliding into The World’s Longest Yard Sale at Creekside Cow Palace! You just have to look up every once in a while to see them coming in for a landing. Also, the parking lot remained full throughout the week: no accidents, no fender benders. Congratulations to our vendors this year who reported record sales. Thanks to everyone for a great sale in spite of the storm damage. I’m only sorry I couldn’t set up due to clean up and meeting with insurance adjusters. We really were not sure we’d have bathroom facilities for our vendors given the flurry of contractor activity inside. But the hard core vendors came, saw, and conquered in spite of the chaos. Bonus: it was perfect weather for a barn sale
In other news, roofers are slated to begin repairs next week. They had trouble sourcing the replacement panels. Then it’s on to repairing the interior space, which had to be gutted down to the concrete pad. Stressful times, but we prevailed!
