Pancreatic cancer has been in the news recently with medical advances that show promise to help detect pancreatic cancer earlier or extend patients' lives. Our race supports Project Purple, which funds pancreatic cancer research and patient aid.

Pancreatic cancer is a one of the deadliest cancers (~13% survive 5 years) because there are no early detection measures and rarely noticeable symptoms until the disease has spread.
