Want to give thanks to everyone who attended our 2nd annual Pawpaw Festival! Those in our community and those outside of our community. All of the vendors, ecological speakers, musicians, organizers, Restoration Landcare, the Horn Farm Center Pawpaw growers in York PA, Tony Levri the Pawpaw grower up north, the wild Pawpaw grove along the Shenandoah River, The Conestoga-Susquehannock Tribe, the Duncansville Borough Council, The Creator, and Mother Earth.
I personally learned so much from this years festival and will strive to do even better for the one next year.
I’d like to have taste testing of different cultivar fruit on plates brought to people waiting in line to try.
I’d like to take time to visit all of the vendors and check in with them during the festival and give them a free pawpaw.
I’d like to have pawpaw ice cream, pawpaw kombucha, a pawpaw baked good, pawpaw sumac drink and pawpaw beer at next years festival.
Would like to eventually have other native edible fruits highlighted at our fest like Native Persimmons, Native Plums, Native Hazelnuts and more!
Want to continue to have great Environmental/Native Plant Agriculture based educational speakers.
Want to have something educational and fun for the children to do.
Want to have a Pawpaw orchard at Duncansville Memorial Park.
Want to be generally more organized.
Want to not run out of pawpaw fruit.
Let me know if there are other ways we can improve our festival for our 3rd annual next year!
Follow our page Pawpaw Festival - Duncansville, PA for year round shared posts about everything Pawpaw and news about our 3rd annual fest next year
Thanks for Caring
