What an absolutely beautiful weekend at Hidden Creek Event Center!

This was truly one of the most relaxed and enjoyable wedding weekends we’ve had. From the moment everyone arrived, you could just feel the love, happiness, and joy surrounding this sweet couple. It was one of those weddings that reminds me why I love what I do! ❤️

I’m stepping a little outside my comfort zone and sharing a few pictures because I just couldn’t resist! One captures the beauty of the bride’s gorgeous dress, another captures the love between these two, and the last shows just how beautiful simplicity can be. The natural fall colors, the simple decorations, and the way everything blended so perfectly with nature were absolutely stunning! 🍁

A huge THANK YOU to our beautiful bride and groom for choosing Hidden Creek to be part of such a special day. It was truly a pleasure having you and your families here!

💕 Another Beautiful (and BUSY!) Weekend at Hidden Creek! 💕

Oh, what a weekend at the Creek! This one was a little extra special, and I’m not sure my heart could have been any fuller! 🥰

September 19 will ALWAYS hold a special place in our hearts. Not only was it my 55th birthday, but Chad and I celebrated 34 YEARS OF MARRIAGE! ❤️ And what better way to celebrate than watching a beautiful young couple, who absolutely stole our hearts, say their I DOs on the very same day!

While we were celebrating 34 years together, they were celebrating DAY ONE of their forever! How sweet is that?! 🥹❤️ I have a feeling 9/19 will forever be one of my favorite dates at Hidden Creek!

And as if that wasn’t enough celebrating, my sister flew in from Mexico, Chelsea and my grandson flew in from Orlando, and my son and his fiancée made the trip from Stillwater to spend the weekend with me! Between celebrating my birthday, our anniversary, spending time with family, and hosting a gorgeous wedding, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to turn 55! 🎂🥂

But wait… WE WEREN’T FINISHED! 😂

We also had the sweetest baby shower at Hidden Creek! One weekend, two beautiful celebrations, and so many wonderful memories. From celebrating the beginning of a marriage to celebrating a precious little life on the way, we got to experience a little bit of everything this weekend! 💍🍼

And just like that, we’re right back at it! Another busy week at the Creek as we get everything cleaned, organized, fluffed, and ready to do it all over again. We’ve got several parties coming up next weekend, and there’s no slowing down around here!

Somewhere between the decorating, cleaning, setting up tables, welcoming guests, celebrating milestones, and trying to squeeze in a little birthday cake, I was reminded once again why I love this little place so much.

Hidden Creek isn’t just a place where we host events. It’s a place where we get to be a tiny part of some of the biggest moments in people’s lives. And this weekend, I got to celebrate a few of my own right alongside them. ❤️

To our beautiful newlyweds, thank you for sharing OUR special day with us. We hope your next 34 years are filled with as much love, laughter, and adventure as ours have been!

To our sweet baby shower family, thank you for choosing Hidden Creek to celebrate your precious little blessing!

And to my family, thank you for making my 55th birthday one I’ll never forget!

I’d say that was a pretty fabulous weekend at the Creek! 🥂❤️

WHAT. A. WEEKEND. 🤎✨

Over 300 people came through Hidden Creek this weekend for TWO beautiful weddings—one Saturday and another Sunday afternoon—and I’m sitting here tonight feeling incredibly grateful.

This was hands down one of the busiest weekends we’ve had. I was flying solo, and somehow, even with all the running, setting up, cleaning up, checking on everyone, and making sure every little detail was taken care of…it honestly didn’t feel like work. I had an absolute blast.

Both families were so incredibly sweet, the brides were beautiful, their fiancés were wonderful, and there was just such a happy feeling around Hidden Creek all weekend. These are the weekends that remind me how blessed I am to call this little place my “job.” 🤍

And I have to give a HUGE shoutout to some of the amazing vendors who helped make everything run so smoothly!

I had the pleasure of meeting the crew from Camelback Corner, and let me tell you—their BBQ was AMAZING! Their entire team was fabulous to have at the venue and made everything feel so smooth and seamless.

We also had one of our favorites back, Charmin Entertainment! They always do such a wonderful job. From speakers down the walkway to cordless microphones for the ceremony, they make sure everyone can actually hear those beautiful vows—and that makes such a difference!

And of course, one of my favorite bartenders, Shelbi with Pretty Tipsy. 🥂 She always does an amazing job, and I love when I get a minute in the middle of the craziness to stop and chat with her.

We also had some phenomenal photographers here this weekend, including Julie Lawson and Hannah Stevens. I cannot WAIT to see the beautiful moments they captured!

And I even got a chance to visit with my friend Tyler Dixon and meet his beautiful wife. Tyler holds a special little place in Hidden Creek history. When we first bought the venue back in 2024, we had NO signage, so I called Tyler—and he created the mural that is still here today and still looks just as beautiful as the day he painted it.

This weekend, Tyler had another chance to become part of a beautiful Hidden Creek memory. He created a gorgeous silhouette of a tree, and throughout the evening, guests added their fingerprints to the branches in beautiful fall colors. 🍂🌳 It turned out absolutely beautiful, and I cannot wait to see the final picture!

Was it hot? YES. 😂
Was it busy? VERY.
Was I tired? ABSOLUTELY.

But was it worth every single minute? 100%. 🤎

I laughed, I visited, I met new people, caught up with old friends, watched two families celebrate something incredibly special, and was reminded all over again why I love what I do.

I’ll be sharing LOTS of pictures from this weekend, but I always like to give our brides the chance to share their special moments first. Once they do, get ready—because there are some beautiful ones coming!

For now, I’m cleaning up, resetting, washing linens, catching my breath…and getting Hidden Creek ready to do it all over again for another wedding next weekend! 🥰

Thank you to every family, guest, vendor, bride and groom who walked through our doors this weekend. Thank you for trusting Hidden Creek with your memories. I never take that for granted.

🇺🇸 Happy Labor Day from Hidden Creek Event Center! 🇺🇸

Sorry we’ve been a little quiet on social media lately — things have been CRAZY busy around here, and we are so thankful! ❤️

So what are we doing at Hidden Creek this Labor Day? Recovering from the weekend! 😂 We had a beautiful wedding AND a sweet baby shower this weekend, and now I’m tackling this lovely mountain of linens before we turn right around and get ready for TWO more weddings this coming weekend! 🥂💍

We have so many gorgeous wedding and shower pictures to share with you, and I promise they’re coming soon!

Today, though… it’s laundry, cleanup, and getting Hidden Creek ready to do it all over again. And I wouldn’t have it any other way. ❤️

This has been such an exciting week here at Hidden Creek! ❤️

We welcomed four wonderful couples in for venue tours this week… and we’re so thankful that three of them chose Hidden Creek for their 2027 weddings! 💍✨ We also booked another beautiful wedding for June 2027, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

If you’re planning a 2027 wedding, now is the time to start looking at venues. The dates really do begin filling up faster than you think.

Even if you’re not sure Hidden Creek is the perfect fit for you, I’d still love to invite you out for a tour. There’s absolutely no pressure. Come walk the property, ask questions, and see what we’re all about. Finding the right venue is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make, and I want every couple to feel confident in whichever place they choose.

Things No One Told Me About Owning a Wedding Venue… Part 2☀️🥵

One thing I never expected to think about every single day? The weather.

Not just, “Will it rain?” But…
Will it be too hot?
Too humid?
Too windy?
Will Grandma be comfortable?
Will the flower girl make it through the ceremony?
Will the cake survive?
Will guests actually enjoy being outside?

Yesterday evening I had a venue tour at 7:00 PM, and it led to one of those conversations that every summer bride needs to hear.

We walked down to the pergola, and I looked at them and laughed, “I feel like my eyeballs are melting!” 🥵 It was 7:00 in the evening…and it was still 96°. The heat index had reached 107° earlier in the day.

That opened the door to talking about summer weddings.

When we expanded Hidden Creek, we made sure to invest in keeping our guests comfortable. We installed six air-conditioning units throughout the venue. We start the day with the building around 68°, and even on those 100°+ Oklahoma days—with guests constantly coming and going and the doors opening and closing—the venue usually stays around 72–73°. With a couple hundred people inside, it may feel a little stuffy, but I’d much rather have guests feeling slightly warm than standing outside in triple-digit heat.

One of the brides asked, “What would you recommend if I want a September wedding?”

My answer was simple…

If it’s still hot, keep your outdoor ceremony short and sweet.

Think about your guests. Your grandparents. The little ones. The pregnant moms. The people wearing suits, boots, long dresses, and heels. Just because you’re excited (and maybe a little more accustomed to the Oklahoma heat) doesn’t mean everyone else is.

If it’s pushing 90° or above, my recommendation is to keep your outdoor ceremony around 20–30 minutes—40 minutes at the absolute most. Then invite everyone inside where they can cool off, relax, and enjoy celebrating with you.

That’s one of the reasons I love that Hidden Creek offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony spaces. Oklahoma weather likes to keep us guessing, and having options means you never have to sacrifice your guests’ comfort.

If your heart is set on an outdoor ceremony, give me an Oklahoma fall wedding any day. 🍂 Cool evenings, beautiful sunsets, comfortable guests…it’s hard to beat. Spring is gorgeous too, but it always comes with the possibility of rain.

At the end of the day, one of my jobs as a venue owner is helping couples create a beautiful wedding and making sure their guests have a wonderful experience. Sometimes the little details—like the weather—matter more than people realize.

Now excuse me while I go check tomorrow’s forecast… because apparently that’s part of my daily job description too! 😂

Last night, Hidden Creek was filled with so much love, laughter, and celebration. We had a beautiful wedding celebrating an amazing bride and groom, surrounded by family, friends, and a whole lot of fun! 💍🤍

Normally, I don’t schedule another event on the same weekend after a wedding because, let’s be honest… weddings take a lot out of you!

But here I am, sitting on the floor waiting for my freshly mopped floors to dry so I can start setting up for tonight’s birthday celebration for 80 guests. 🎉

From “I do” to “Happy Birthday,” it’s another busy day at Hidden Creek, and I truly wouldn’t have it any other way.

Life is good here at Hidden Creek!♥️
