Because we could not run the medal round within the software, I had to put the final results in the description. The displayed medals in the software might not match the actual medals that were given out.

We are just days away from our exciting tournament at the Marcovich Wellness Center, and the excitement is palpable!

I'm thrilled to announce that the Onix Pure 2 Outdoor balls and the medals for our winners have arrived. Additionally, the courts are now lined and ready for action.

Please take a moment to visit our website (gitchpb.com) to confirm your registration and payment status for both you and your partner. It's crucial to ensure everything is in order for a smooth start to the tournament.

Remember, the day will be filled with competitive matches in Women's, Mixed, and Men's Doubles. Doors will open at 8 AM with matches starting at 9 AM. Check the flyer on the website (gitchpb.com) for your specific timeline and more details.

We will attempt to get everyone currently on the waitlist into the tournament. If you are on the waitlist, I will email you to let you know if there is room.

We still have spots in women's doubles. We are specifically looking for a women's 4.0 player, but we will accept any women's doubles teams that still want to sign up.

There is ample parking in Lot 13 next to the Wellness Center, on Catlin Avenue, and Mortorelli Drive. Since school is not in session, it should be pretty quiet in the morning. There are basketball games at the center later in the day, so it will become a little busier.

We will have some concessions available for sale. UWS will have coffee, water, and muffins (I think) in the morning. The afternoon will have full concessions, including pizza, hot dogs, and nachos. Of course, you can feel free to bring your own food. There are also several restaurants (mostly fast food) close by. Please only bring water onto the courts, but you can eat or drink anything else on the mezzanine or outside the courts.

We still need some nets. If you have one that you can bring at 8:00 or 8:30, please let me know. If you live locally, we can arrange for pickup before the tournament.

We're all set for an incredible day of sportsmanship and thrilling pickleball action. Can't wait to see you all on the courts this Saturday!

Registration for the Gitchi Gummi Winter Blast 2024 Tournament is now open! It will be held at the Marcovich Wellness Center on the University of Wisconsin-Superior campus on January 6. It is a beautiful facility, and we are excited to hold our tournament there. Details and registration can be found on the website: gitchpb.com.

Early bird registration deadline is December 24. Final deadline is January 3.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

The tournament has been cancelled. We were hopeful, but the rain came early, and it is here to stay.

If you still want to play pickleball, there is a group playing at the Duluth Indoor Sports Center. Play is from 10 to 2 on 8 courts. Show up at 9:30 so they can get a headcount. There is a cost, but I am not 100 percent sure what it is.

We are very sorry to have to cancel. We will work on refunds soon.

Registration for the 2022 Gitchi Gummi Fall Brawl Tournament is now live! We will hold the one-day tournament on September 17th. Spots are limited, so sign up soon! https://gitchpb.com/

We are excited to have this year's tournament at the new dedicated pickleball courts at the Wheeler Athletic Complex.

We are going to have the men's, women's, and mixed doubles. These divisions will be divided by skill level (3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+). You can still sign up even if you do not know who your partner will be yet.

In addition to doubles, we will also have men's and women's singles. For now, there are no skill levels - everyone will compete together regardless of rating. However, if we get many people signing up of varying skill levels, we will consider breaking it up into different divisions.

Pickleball is a family-oriented sport, so we wanted to get families involved. We will have a family doubles event again where the two team members are in the same family and in different generations OR two family members under the age of 18 (siblings, cousins, etc.). For example, a parent and a child, a grandparent and a grandchild, uncle/aunt and niece/nephew, or siblings can play together. There are no restrictions or divisions based on gender. If we have enough teams, we will divide it between "teams with young kids" and "somewhat older teams" in an effort to keep it competitive and fun.

Winners from the 2022 Gitchi Gummi Tournament! It was a great day, and much fun was had by all. The rain held off, and it ended up being a perfect day for a pickleball tournament. We had many first-time participants, and we hope that it is not their last!

We are having another tournament on September 17th. Registration for that will open up as soon as we can get the website switched over.

We are going to have the "traditional" men's, women's, and mixed doubles. These divisions will be divided by skill level (3.0, 3.5, and 4.0+). You can still sign up even if you do not know who your partner will be yet.

In addition to doubles, we are going to try out a few new divisions. First, we are going to have men's and women's singles in the afternoon and evening. For now, there are no skill levels - everyone will compete together regardless of rating. However, if we get many people signing up of varying skill levels, we will consider breaking it up into different divisions.

We are also excited to hold a youth singles division. The only requirement to enter is that you are 17 or under. Right now, we are not anticipating dividing it by gender, age, or skill, but that could change if we have a lot of youth signing up.
