Thank you for participating in the 10th Annual 5K hosted by Waters of Life Church! Below are some housekeeping items for race day. Please see below and let us know if you have any questions.

8:00 AM: Packet Pick-up/DJ/Day of registration begins
8:30 AM: Pre-race/Announcements/Line Up
9:00 AM: 5k begins

The route will be posted at the registration table for reference. Please follow traffic signs and stick to the shoulders of the road. Parking is available at the church. Please fill up the dirt lot first.

Bring your friends and family out to join you on Saturday! See you there!

We have a new route from previous years. This year, we will start AND end at Waters of Life Church. Runners/walkers/bikers/etc. will leave the church parking lot and travel north on Rice Lake Rd, turn left on West Pioneer Rd to the half way mark, then will turn around and head back. Signs and volunteers will be placed along the route to keep everyone safe! Register today using the link below 👇

Have you ever wanted to run a 5k but aren't sure if you could or where to start? Here is a simple, easy to follow, couch to 5k training plan that can help you reach your goal of completing your first 5k!

Before you begin your training, these 5 tips will help you gear up for a good training experience:

🩺 Get a Physical - before beginning a new physical activity program, it's important to get the all-clear from your doctor.
🏃‍♀️ Pick a race - the Moved By The Spirit 5K is PERFECT!!
👯‍♂️ Buddy Up - find a partner (or two) that are of a similar fitness level as you. It's more fun with friends!
👟 If the Shoe Fits, Wear It - make sure you have a properly fitted show made for running. Running shoes that fit properly are less likely to cause blisters, shin splints or aches and pains while running.
🍎 Fuel Your Body - deciding to take on a 5k doesn't just involve changing physical habits, it involves fueling your body with healthy foods too. Eating a balanced diet and staying hydrated throughout the day will help you feel and perform your best while you train.
