Julien Dubuque International Film Festival 🎬 Celebrating 15 years of independent filmmakers from around the world
📅 April 18–25, 2026
🔗 JulienFilmFest.com Every city has a story. Mailing Address: P.O.

The Julien Dubuque International Film Festival is a four-day event in downtown Dubuque featuring unique film screenings and compelling community conversations with nationally renowned filmmakers, directors and actors. The Film Festival will continue to enhance Dubuque’s and the tri-states’ cultural identity and contribute to the excellent quality of life in the area by:

· Enriching the lives

of the Dubuque community
· Creating an international landscape through progressive visual and interactive art forms
· Teaching and reaching people through spirited and driven storytelling
· Challenging and inspiring audiences by creating dialogue around social issues ranging from diversity to sustainability
· Driving commerce and stimulating economic growth

Using the newly renovated and gentrified downtown as the epicenter, the Film Festival re-creates and rediscovers local downtown businesses as unique and celebratory screening locations. While the Dubuque community continues to grow into a national — and international — cultural destination, it is vital for relevant art forms to continue to emerge and the Julien Dubuque International Film Festival boldly delivers on this mandate. The Julien Dubuque International Film Festival is the spotlight that will enable our community to compete with other North American and global cities as a pioneering arts destination.
