Hot air balloons. Mountain air. Festival vibes. And yes ... dogs are welcome! (And ... raccoons?)

Bring your favorite four-legged co-pilot to the Teton Valley Balloon Rally, July 2-5, for a weekend the whole family will remember forever.

Keep your pup leashed and friendly, and they're in. You may spot our official canine mascots roaming the fields (In fact, pictured here: one adorable little brown dog and two enormous fluffy black dogs). They are part of the Hot Crew, and they take their ambassador duties very seriously. As such, they're the only ones with off-leash privileges, but every well-behaved leashed dog gets the full festival experience.

Come spend the Fourth of July weekend with us!

We're so excited to celebrate 45 years of lifted spirits by participating in the 19th Annual Tin Cup Challenge! The Teton Valley Balloon Rally has been filling skies and hearts for 45 years, bringing generations back together every Fourth of July weekend.

Your donation puts fuel in our fire. The Rally brings hands-on balloon education into local elementary schools, sends middle and high schoolers to BFA hot air balloon camps through flight scholarships, and pours every dollar back into a Fourth of July festival that belongs to this whole valley. This is community investment with a really good view. Donate today at www.TinCupChallenge.org!

Ahem ... did we mention that this year marks the 45th Teton Valley Balloon Rally? And did you know that at one time, TVBR actually diverted traffic off of Highway 33 and set up a whole fair of arts, crafts, sports booths, etc., along with the festival's balloon races?

This brings us to our trivia for today ... Name the local Alta, WY sports craftsman who displayed his beautiful handmade boats (pictured here) on the Driggs Main Street around 1984-85 to hundreds of attendees at the annual Balloon Races.

Ever wonder who decides if the balloons fly?

That's the Balloonmeister, and the job is more than it sounds. Every morning before a single balloon leaves the ground, they're tracking wind speeds, visibility, and thermals, briefing every pilot on conditions and flight plans, and verifying that every aircraft meets FAA requirements. When it's safe, green flag. When it's not, they call it.

No emotion. No shortcuts. Just the skies and a standard they don't compromise.

And in the case of Teton Valley Balloon Rally, that Balloonmeister is Margaret Rose Breffeilh. She has an unstoppable enthusiasm for flying, for TVBR, for all of you, and, well, we just love her.

Graham hasn't just flown balloons ...he's flown them over the Masai Mara, the temples of Bagan, the Valley of the Kings, and the caves of Cappadocia. We are so lucky to welcome him and his team! He'll be a hopper pilot at this year's Rally, floating the beautiful Tally Hopper across the Teton Valley skies!
