HATS ARE IN!

I've been wearing the samples at our past few events and now we are ready to sell them!

These are athletic dri fit hats that are very breathable. They will be on sale first this weekend at our 3rd stop of the Gulf Coast Tour Challenge at Taylor, then online the week following (link to come).

How stoked are you for these hats!??!

Gulf Coast Events & Promotions is the 501c(3) Non Profit Organization that owns and operates the Gulf Coast Charity Open and all of our other events.

As a non profit, we are required to submit financial reporting and taxes each year. While these records are accessible through public record requests, we are not required to publicly post and disclose that financial information independently.

However, transparency is one of the pillars of our organization, and one of the things that, in our opinion, separates us from other disc golf companies.

As such, we are electing to post our 2025 financial reporting. We are proud of the success of our organization, and want to share that sucsess with the individuals who help make that happen.

At the end of the day, even though we are a non profit, we are a business. We have expenses and liabilities that have to be managed just like any other business. Our goal is never to "make money", but rather ensure that we are covering our operating expenses, prioritizing player value, investing in the future of our orginization, and ensuring we are contributing back to our community.

This is underscored by the $0 Executive Director compensation that has been reported. Our staff has never, and will never, take compensation for the work that they do. We will always remain and orginization built on the back of volunteers so we can maximize the experience of our participants.

This past week, Executive Director and title sponsor () presented our full donation of proceeds produced at the 2026 Gulf Coast Charity Open.

During the meeting, we toured their facility and met some of the amazing people that help provide services to those in need in the Tampa area. Being able to see the value of the money we raise in person is such a special opportunity.

We then discussed some of the long term goals that Echo has with their leadership; its clear they have incredible direction and we can't wait to see then expand their operations to be able to help even more of the community in need.

What. A. Weekend.

This past weekend, a coalition of the willing completed a basket replacement and partial redesign of the Azalea Park Disc Golf Course in St. Petersburg, FL.

The course, originally installed back in 2011, has had the same baskets since its inception. After 16+ years of use and exposure to the harsh Central Florida elements, it was time for an upgrade.

The project was initiated by Brian Rosegger and Jason Zahara who brought it to us to see if we could work together to make it happen.

In short order, we involved the folks at
who helped set us up with 18 brand new baskets. Funding was provided by sponsors, The Azaliens, and of course, Gulf Coast Events & Promotions.

On Sunday, an army made short work of the replacement project; having all the old baskets and sleeves removed, new holes dug, baskets built and installed all in less than 4 hours.

The course now has 18 brand new baskets, 2 on each hole, with some interesting new pin locations.

Thanks to everyone who was involved in making this happen and making the Tampa are the best are for disc golf in Florida!

This past weekend we hosted The 2026 Gulf Coast Triple Crown for a record breaking 542 participants. This is the ultimate choose your own adventure disc golf experience with 3 seperate flex starts on 3 different courses. Players opted to play 1, 2 or try to play all 3 in the ultimate test of endurance and logistical coordination.

Of the 144 players who attempted the Triple Crown Challenge (playing all 3), 139 succeeded before the time cutoff.

Many thanks to , , , and for staffing the event and to for running course cleanup after the event was over.

So incredibly fortunate for our community. See yall in 2 weeks at Cypress!!

Triple Crown Medal Reveal!!

We did metal medals the first 2 years with a single color lanyard, and while they were "Ok", they left a lot to be desired.

This year we went in a totally different direction and had wooden medals made. Because wood is cheaper than metal, we were able to make them bigger for the same price and include a custom printed lanyard. We were also able to include the year on both the medal and the lanyard, somthing we weren't able to do the first two years.

What do yall think?

Some long overdue appreciation for our sponsors of the 2026

Its been a heck of a few weeks post the event, but we wanted to make sure we looked back at all of those who helped make it such a smashing sucsess!

First, we want to thank and for their support of our event, and disc golf in Tampa. Cassie has been a wonderful ambassador for the game and has become a cornerstone at the Limona Park Disc Golf Club.

The Juggling Buddha helps business owners stop feeling overwhelmed and get clear on what to do next. Owner and operator Cassie Fleming turns messy ideas into a simple plan and helps keep business owners on track. She also offers project management, financial oversight, hiring, and consulting so the business runs better. She’s proud to support the Gulf Coast Charity Open and be part of something that helps others.

Thank you Cassie! You rock!

Your favorite Disc Golf Point Series is back for the 2026 Season!

We are happy to announce The 2026 Gulf Coast Tour Challenge Presented by .

This is a 5 event series hosted on the 5 different primary courses used during the Gulf Coast Charity Open. Each stop is its own PDGA Sanctioned C Tier Event. They are technically classified as a Flex Start as you can select your group and starting time during registration, but the actual event will be tee times (based on what you pick during registration) every 10 minutes throughout the day.

These events are "net zero" events. You pay $10: $4 goes towards park permitting, $3 goes to the PDGA and $3 is donated to the Gulf Coast Events and Promotions Course Improvement Fund. There are no player packages or payouts.

You can however opt in to purchasing one of our Dri Fit Jerseys or Discs (pictured) during registration.

Registration for the first 2 stops opens THIS FRIDAY AT 8PM!!! Make sure to coordinate with your group so you can get on the same tee time!
