First Fridays: Behind the Booth ✨
Megan Neely of Crystal Connections began her vendor journey in 2023, starting small and building her business one step at a time.

“Crystal Connections came to life in the fall of 2023. When all we had was a borrowed pop up canopy and a single 6’ table with a white bed sheet serving as a tablecloth, just piles of bracelets on the table. “

First Fridays: Behind the Booth 👀

First Fridays season, may be on break, but our vendors are still up to all kinds of things!

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be checking in with some of our First Fridays vendors to see what they’re making, creating, and getting into during First Fridays off-season.

We’re asking a few questions about the vendor’s craft, the work that happens behind the scenes when they’re not setting up shop in Doentown Modesto. There might even be a few surprises along the way!

Keep an eye on our page. We’ve got some stories to share, and Behind the Booth is coming soon.

What a season! ✨

We wrapped up another First Friday Market season in Downtown Modesto, and we want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to everyone who helped make these nights so special.

To all of our amazing vendors, small businesses, nonprofits, musicians, dancers, skaters, volunteers, partners, sponsors, and community members, thank you for showing up and bringing so much energy to downtown.

And to everyone who came out to shop, eat, dance, skate, listen to music, discover something new, or simply spend an evening with your community; you are what makes First Friday what it is.

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make each market feel uniquely Downtown Modesto.

Cheers to the people who make downtown feel like a place to connect and celebrate. We’ll see you next season!

Meet Mouthfeel Wines at our Final First Friday Market of the Season.

We’re thrilled to showcase Mouthfeel Wines as we close out the season, and trust us, you’re going to want to taste what they’re pouring.

Winemaker and owner Jenny Lynn bring decades of Napa Valley winemaking experience to every bottle, along with a refreshingly bold approach.

Their wines are clean, balanced, lower-alcohol, and made without unnecessary additives, with plenty of attention paid to texture, balance, energy, and, of course, that all-important mouthfeel.

Come meet the makers, sip something delicious, and spend our final First Friday of the season with us in Downtown Modesto.

As we wrap up another First Friday’s season, we want to give a huge thank you to Downtown Modesto and the community that makes these nights so special.

First Fridays is all about bringing people together. Local vendors, artists, nonprofits, food, music and a whole lot of community filling up 10th Street every month. And we couldn’t make it happen without incredible community partners like Valley First.

DoMo First Fridays is almost here! And we are so looking forward to it! Even though it may be a rainy day today the forecast is projected to be a sun shiny day next Friday. 😎

We have been cooking up some surprises for each First Friday, and we are happy to announce that our beloved Stanislaus Library will be having a booth in the kid’s corner next to Camp Jack Hazard starting in June and until the end of the season (last one falls on October 2nd)!

They will be having something exclusive at each First Friday. For this one coming up June 5th, they will be having a bird scavenger hunt and STEAM bird watching kits! 🦉🦆🦜Oh my, what fun it will be. If you know of any nature loving kiddos, make sure to bring them along with you so that they can partake in all the kid’s corner magic. ✨
