Does anyone else feel like this Ramadan is flying by? 🥺 Although I’m sad we are more than half way through, definitely looking forward to Eid and all of the festivities to come, iA!

Last year we had a wonderful intimate front yard Eid celebration with close friends and family. 🧿

The best thing about covid Eid was the relaxed morning and praying at home, what a welcome change!! Typically we are running out the door to make it to the first stop as soon as the kids are up. 🏃‍♀️ 🏃

Ive been craving chebureki and this weeknight quick version hit the spot! 🤤 If you’ve never had Turkish food, you’re missing out. Think samosa meets empanada meets dumpling, then fried. What could be better? Traditionally, the meat is uncooked and cooks together with the dough while frying. In this quick version— fully cooked meat is filled in the dough and goes in for a quick fry!

Sharing the recipe below. 👇🏽

Filling: Sauté lean ground beef in olive oil with salt/pepper and ground yellow onion until the meat is browned and the oil separates. Grind some cilantro, parsley, green chili(to taste), garlic, and tomato—then add to the meat mixture and cook for a few minutes. Set aside.
Dough: raw flour tortillas
Fill tortillas with cooled meat mixture and seal, making semi rounds. Shallow fry in hot oil until golden brown, enjoy!

Still can’t believe my oldest is 8, mA!!😳 Wow that was fast 💨

The Jurassic park/world fascination runs deep in this house, it’s pretty much our go-to movie lately. This guy wanted a Jurassic celebration, and although it was a small celebration at home—mama had to deliver. Since it was laid back and low key, I found time to make his cake— which I love to do! I made his 1st through 3rd birthday cakes and then parties got bigger and I just didn’t have the time anymore. We went back to the basics, and the birthday boy loved his 5 day celebrations. While mama is still recovering. 😅

He wanted a way to include his little buddies so I sent out Dino party kits to his friends homes for them to join in on the fun for a short zoom get together. Although it doesn’t replace physically being with friends, we got creative and the birthday boy enjoyed it! 🦖🦕

Saw this tablescape yesterday and still obsessing over it. 🤩 Im loving the traditional pieces mixed with some more casual pieces which adds depth and interest to this vignette. Totally my vibe right now.

Although I tell myself no more blue, I can’t help it!! Completely drawn to all things blue, which works in our all boy home. 💁🏻‍♀️

A Japanese tea ceremony, at home. 🍵 When covid changed birthday vacay plans, we brought Japan home.

The client wanted to surprise his wife on a special birthday and asked us to transform their home while they were away for dinner, how romantic! 💕

They returned to classical Japanese music playing, an elaborate yet intimate tea and dessert set up, custom kimonos, treats from Japan and all her faves. I hear she was so excited— there were tears!! 😭🌸💕

With another snow storm heading our way, I’ve been day dreaming about warm sand beneath our feet and the sound of waves crashing on the shore. 🌊☀️

Although I’m mentally all over the place lately— drowning in wallpaper samples, party planning, fulfilling orders, secret projects(can’t wait to share)—I’m mostly obsessing over planning our next RV adventure!! Desperately need to escape the cold and spend some time outdoors, how about you? 🤷🏻‍♀️
