Night to Shine - Friendship Community Church

09/07/2026

Today, we want to shout-out Rita’s of York for donating a cooler full of their most popular Mango ice! We were able to cool down our drivers, guests, yard salers, and church goers with this delicious treat. We are so thankful for community partners and supporters like Rita’s, who are kind, generous, and believe in the message of Night to Shine!

If you and your family are looking for a delicious, cool treat as the summer winds down, head on out to Rita’s of York (E Market Street) and thank them for their support.

We had such a phenomenal day today, friends, and we hope you did too!

We were absolutely blown away by the turnout and grateful for beautiful weather! We are so appreciative of all who came to shop, to cruise, and to look at cars old and new today.

We had a grand total of 87 cars on-site for our 3rd Annual Car Show/Yard Sale benefitting Night to Shine.

We also took up 20 yard sale spaces - hope you found some great new-to-you treasures; we heard our sellers had a great day!

We were so pleased to see some of our very own honored guests from past Night to Shine years visiting us and voting on their favorite cars.

More than all of those numbers, we are thrilled that because of 🌟 YOUR 🌟 generosity, we are well on our way to hosting a successful, uplifting, wonderful Night to Shine 2027.

We will have plenty more pictures to share in the coming days, but we wanted to share these amazing photos captured by a local drone owner, who is the son of our amazing Car Show hosts!

We’re in awe of how these shots show the scope of our event, the beauty of the day, and all of you, showing up and showing off in support of our honored guests.

Thank you simply is not enough - YOU make Night to Shine - Friendship Community Church possible.

🍔 Today’s Reminder: Food! 🍔

We have a bunch of great food options for you this year and have really worked on upping our game.

Back by popular demand: Uncle Pete’s Bbq!

📌 Beginning at 8am, we will have breakfast sandwiches for purchase - fuel up to find the best yard sale deals.

📌 Beginning at 10am, we will have barbecue sandwich meals (bbq sandwich, coleslaw, chips, drink) or hot dog meals available.

📌 Also beginning at 10am, we will open our bake sale and we’ve got some goodies you won’t want to miss.

📌 Last but not least, rumor has it that there may be some Rita’s Italian Ice making an appearance!

Stop out and sample it all - for a good cause! All of the proceeds from this event go toward Night to Shine - Friendship Community Church, a prom night for honored guests with special needs!

🚗 Just a reminder: Car Show entries are by donation at the door! There seem to always be scam posts soliciting contact/payment - we’d never do that to you! We know you’re watching the weather and considering your options for the day, so we don’t require our MVCs (most valuable cars!) to register ahead of time. 🚗

We’ll see you so soon, as we raise support on 9/5 for Night to Shine - Friendship Community Church!
