🚜 "Thank a Farmer" and build a beautiful float for the Harvest Festival parade 🚜

Calling all beauty queens, school clubs, sports groups, churches, local businesses/groups, community leaders, and more!! The Donalsonville/Seminole County Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in its annual Harvest Festival parade to kick off the Donalsonville/Seminole County Harvest Festival on October 17th, 2026. The parade will begin at 11:00 a.m., lineup by 10am, and anyone and everyone is encouraged to participate!

This year's Harvest Festival Parade theme is "Thank a Farmer" - a heartfelt celebration of the hardworking men and women who keep our agriculture community growing. Show your appreciation by decorating your float with creative, colorful displays that honor our local farmers and all they do. Let's fill the parade with gratitude, community spirit, and a harvest of thanks for the hands that feed us! Let’s celebrate the people who help our community grow! Entries will be judged, with ribbons and an overall grand prize awarded, so be as creative as possible!

‼️NOTE THE 2026 PARADE ROUTE CHANGE‼️Lineup will now begin at 6th St., then turn up Woolfork Ave, then on to 5th Street, then up Wiley Ave., and ends at E. 2nd Street. ***This is the same parade route as the Spirit of Christmas Parade!

There is no entry fee to participate in the parade, but you must fill out the parade application and liability form to participate. For more info, call the Chamber at 229-524-2588 or email [email protected].

One of our favorite parts of planning major Chamber events is finding ways to involve the children in our community! We’re thrilled to welcome back local dance studio Persnickety Studios for a special performance to help us kick off the Harvest Festival. We can’t wait to see these talented kids take the stage and help us start the festivities!! 💚

The Donalsonville/Seminole County Chamber of Commerce would like to thank everyone who submitted a photo for our Harvest Festival Ag Photo Contest! The winning photo that will be featured on the back of the 2026 Harvest Festival t-shirt is a beautiful photo of a Seminole County cotton harvest, taken by Kason Smith. The winning photo received 386 votes! Congratulations!!

We really loved seeing all of the photos that highlight the agriculture in our community, and have enjoyed making this an annual contest!

The 2026 Harvest Festival Recipe Contest applications are available now at the Chamber!! If you need an application emailed to you, reach out to [email protected] and we will get one sent to you! The recipe contest is sponsored by Greg & Stephanie Mims, Seminole County Young Farmers, and Seminole County UGA Extension. We look forward to the recipe contest each year, and are excited to see what unique recipes you all come up with for this year! 🥜🫘
