“Although we grew up just miles apart in Michigan, it took moving to Chicago and going on years of bad dates before we connected. From the moment we met, we found ourselves wondering how many times our paths had unknowingly crossed. Dating in Chicago was so much fun — and it was even more special knowing our families lived close to one another back home in Michigan.

When we got engaged, we immediately reached out to Jen and Shannon, knowing they would help us plan and create our dream wedding in Detroit. We wanted our guests to experience everything we love about the city, and Jen and Shannon took every idea we had and made it happen. It was hard to put our vision into words, but they understood us perfectly and brought it all to life.

Our wedding ceremony and reception were more beautiful and meaningful than we ever imagined. We truly loved every part of our experience working with Twelve 24 Events.”

We’re excited to highlight one of the leaders behind our chapter, Lauren Jacks.

Lauren serves as the Events Coordinator for NACE Greater Detroit and brings her expertise to both Rock Events Detroit and her own planning company, Lauren Jacks Events.

Through Rock Events, she works with a range of unique venues across Detroit, helping bring weddings, corporate events, and celebrations to life.

She values being part of NACE for the relationships it builds and the opportunity to collaborate with other creatives in the industry.

Fun fact: She can make balloon animals.
