And that’s a wrap on Public Lands UnEarthed Field School Fall 2025!
Over the past 10 weeks, six youth have developed interviewing and oral storytelling skills to add to the Public Lands UnEarthed oral history collection. During this 3rd cohort we had conversations about identity, belonging, and the layered and complex history of public lands in this country. The youth have worked hard to interview community members, transcribe their stories, and developed a creative piece which this year ranged from a Pinterest board, to poems and short stories to paintings and woven fishnet!
Their efforts and support from our partners re-defines and highlights this essential message: We belong outside!
We had guest appearances from Nikky, GBE’s events planner, and for a workshop on public lands, and visited on a field trip so the young people could professionally record with audio engineers! Huge thanks to !
