As an artist, author, host and advocate for Detroit artistry i'll make this promise to anyone that enters my open mic doors. I promise to provide a safe space for you to be able to listen and creatively express yourself in a caring environment. I promise that everyone will be heard that wants to be heard on and off the mic. I promised to lead with love as I articulate other artists artistry with care and kindness. I will show compassion, understanding, humor and empathy as I listen to you be creatively free. Even if I'm your opt, antagonists or nemesis in your life story behind those closed open mic doors, you are my family and respecting your art is my responsibility. Now when you outside those doors, you're on, you're own. 😅😅
