Motor City Comedy Festival Yearly comedy festival taking place in various neighborhoods in Detroit, Michigan. The 2022 Motor City Comedy Festival will be taking place September 15-18!

We're bringing more professional stand-up comedy within the city limits and showing comedians from across the country how we do it in Detroit! We are a 501c3 status, nonprofit organization in the city of Detroit.

We're back with yet another insane Headliner announcement! Help us welcome and celebrate to the family. We can't wait to enjoy a premier night of Comedy with all of you. 💜 Tickets live now!

Asif created and stars as a series regular on the half-hour comedy series, DELI BOYS (Hulu). He recurred on the Emmy-Nominated Marvel series WandaVision (Disney+) and starred in Olivia Wilde’s film, DON’T WORRY DARLING. Additional credits include THE MANDALORIAN (Disney+), BOJACK HORSEMAN (Netflix), ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT (USA), NEW GIRL (Fox), and SILICON VALLEY (HBO). Asif was named one of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch for 2024.

Ryan Goodcase was raised as a quiet, young boy in the humble Midwest, and learned to speak into a microphone in order for his voice to be heard. You can hear that voice on Netflix is a Joke Radio or his full length special on YouTube, “Maybe They’re Dead.”, which has over 146,000 views.

He is also popular on TikTok and Instagram, where millions of people have watched and reacted to clips of his comedy. Ryan was one of nine up and coming comedians Netflix included in their comedy festival’s “Introducing
” showcase, which you can watch on Netflix’s Youtube page.

Goodcase has also joined the likes of Dana Carvey, Doug Stanhope, and Sinbad by winning the San Francisco International Comedy Competition in 2021. You might also recognize him from a series of comedic Bed, Bath & Beyond commercials where he plays an apathetic sales associate (his lawyers have assured me that my performance had nothing to do with Bed, Bath & Beyond’s filing for bankruptcy.)

Leah Lamarr is an internationally touring stand-up comedian, actor, writer, host, podcaster, producer, and icon who rose to prominence in 2020 while being dubbed “the queen of clubhouse” by Joe Rogan on the JRE Podcast. Born in Queens, New York, she is one of the fastest rising stand-up comedians and star talents. Awarded as Entertainer of the Year by TIME Magazine’s Web3 Division and recognized as a breakout star, Leah has taken her over 800,000 followers on social media along with a passion for technology, comedy, and art to become a fresh and forthcoming star.

After becoming the Clubhouse Icon, Leah took her one-hour show to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and her 2x sold out show at the New York Comedy Festival. She has performed at all major clubs around the nation. Internationally, she performs at all the major clubs in London, Barcelona, as well as at the Dubai Comedy Festival last year.

She has featured for Dane Cook, Erik Griffin, Mark Normand and Russell Peters, and now headlines her own dates. She also recently shot a stand-up special for LMAOF TV. As a host she has been seen on E!’s “What the Fashion” and Roku’s “America’s Funniest Home Videos” as well as co-hosting iHeart’s “Real-Time Crime” podcast along with Teddi Mellencamp (RHOBH). She recently had a Verizon campaign come out starring Leah as herself, a rising stand-up comedian. Leah can be seen co-hosting season 2 of Internet Game and performing at The Chosen Comedy Festival. Demetrius Fields is a half black, half Lebanese comic born in Windsor, Ontario, and raised in the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. He has made a name for himself in New York City where he can be seen performing regularly at the New York Comedy Club and has been featured in the New York comedy Festival. Demetrius has gained a massive following of over 3 million people and over 1.5 billion views on TikTok. He sells out clubs and performs at colleges across the United States.

Zainab Johnson is a stand-up comedian, actress, and writer. Zainab’s comedy is based on her unique
point-of-view, which was shaped growing up in Harlem as one of thirteen siblings in a black Muslim
family. After getting a degree in Education and Math and taking a job as a teacher, she quickly learned
that she had a different calling. Zainab is currently a series regular on the Amazon Original hit series
titled UPLOAD from Greg Daniels, she is one of the hosts for Netflix's show 100 HUMANS, and starred as
Dr. Hanniel in the brilliantly written web series AVANT-GUARDIANS. She made her first late night stand
up appearance on NBC's LATE NIGHT WITH SETH MEYERS, and had breakout appearances on HBO’s ALL
DEF COMEDY, NBC’s LAST COMIC STANDING, and has performed at the JFL Comedy Festival in
Montreal first as a "New Face of Comedy", then as one of "Variety's Top 10 Comics to Watch", and most
recently on the longest running JFL show "Just For The Culture". She is a paid regular at The Comedy
Store, The Improv, and Laugh Factory in Los Angeles as well as the Comedy Cellar in New York City. Her
first hourlong special, Hijabs Off, is now available to stream on Amazon.
