Movement Electronic Music Festival

Raúl Rocha, a.k.a. Dj Roach313, is from the Latino community of southwest Detroit. Born in the 1970s, he always had an ear for music, influenced by his father, a musician in the band “Conjunto Y Los Magnificos Siete.” Roach began DJing in the late 1980s with his brother Rolando at local events in their neighborhood.

Inspired by Jeff Mills, also known as The Wizard on Detroit radio, he knew the musical direction he wanted to pursue. Roach is a vinyl DJ with extraordinary skills, playing hard-hitting techno and Detroit electro. Roach is the founder of the Tec-Troit electronic music festival, held the second weekend of June in Detroit.

This is a free, all-ages event featuring exclusively local talent, taking place in downtown Detroit. With the support and vision of Mad Mike Banks, Underground Resistance, and Submerge, DJ Roach launched his vinyl record label Nuestro Futuro Records.

DJ Roach also has releases on Soiree Records International, Cryovac Records, Mona Records Spain, Detroit Artist Agency

This might be helpful for anyone who will be in Detroit for Techno Christmas aka Movement Electronic Music Festival this weekend. Sadly, Detroit Techno Tours will not be available this session but we will offer a tour for Tec-Troit, a free, all ages, 3-day, DIY festival in Detroit from June 26-28. We hope to see you there!
