By 1984, the interior had been gutted and the club was sold and renamed "The Pink Flamingo", returning to it's "gay bar" origins of the early 70's. The building burned down in mid-1991 and was bulldozed. After running Todd's (1981, 1989) Menage, and booking concerts at various clubs and theaters, Bookie's co-founder Scott Campbell is now endeavoring to open a "new" Bookie's in the tradition and sp

irit of the original. Lou's/Circus Circus, etc. and was a live rock and blues venue for over 40 years.
