Hello Shiver Fans!

We hope this message finds you well. We’re writing to share an important update regarding Shiver on the River outdoor sports event hosted by Capt Roy’s and Freylack Entertainment.

After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event. Rather than offering something rushed or compromised, we’ve chosen to take this time to restructure, refine, and elevate the event so that next year’s experience is stronger, smoother, and even more exciting. This pause allows us to improve planning, partnerships, and overall execution—so when we return in 2027, it will truly be worth the wait!

We are incredibly grateful for your interest, support, and understanding. Your enthusiasm is what drives us to keep building something special, and we’re already looking ahead to an enhanced event next winter.

We’ll be sharing updates as plans develop, and we hope you’ll join us when we return next year with a renewed and improved experience.

Today is the day. Game sign up begins at 4:00 p.m. at Captain Roy's

It will stay open until all games are full or we will close it at 8:00 p.m. It is first come first serve.

Today we want to recognize the Freylack Family as creators and founders of Shiver on the River. Joe, Kate, Jordon, Matt, Dave and all the rest of the clan have made Shiver possible since 2018. We appreciate the love and support that they have always poured out to Captain Roy's. You will have a hard time finding a more genuine, loving, exciting and fun group. They have been doing Freylack things on this stretch of river since the 60's and we hope they never stop.

Urban Dreams is providing shuttle service for Shiver on the River. It will run Saturday from 9:30AM to 8:30PM. They will be making a continuous loop between the Birdland Pool Parking lot (on Holcomb Ave between 2nd and 6th Aves) and Captain Roy's. The shuttle is free but driver tips are allowed.

Parking: You can park in the marina parking lot near Captain Roy's, along Birdland Drive, In Union Park or throughout the neighborhood.
