As summer returns to Iowa, so do the flavors and homegrown spirit that make the season special. From August 13-22, Iowa vendors, gardeners and makers will bring their best homegrown products to the Iowa State Fair Farmers Market.

Young entrepreneurs can apply for the 2nd Annual Kids Makers Market on the final day of the Fair, where kids ages 5 to 17 can sell their handmade creations and creative talents for awards.

Fair fans… we need your detective skills🕵️‍♀️

We’re on the hunt for one of the first known Iowa State Fair trophies to include in our museum for this year's Fair. Here’s what we know so far:

🔍 It was owned by a family in Perry
🔍 It made an appearance at the Caravan kickoff from Fairfield to Des Moines for the sesquicentennial in 2004
