We’re bringing home the GOLD! 🏆🌎

The World Food & Music Festival presented by Veridian Credit Union earned the Gold Award for Best Cultural/Heritage Event at the 2026 International Festivals & Events Association (IFEA)/Haas & Wilkerson Pinnacle Awards Competition

The Festival also received three additional international honors for its promotional poster, T-shirt design and sponsor gift.

This recognition belongs to the vendors, performers, sponsors, volunteers, partners and Festival-goers who bring cultures from around the world together each year in Downtown Des Moines.

Come hungry. Catch a performance you’ve never seen before. Learn something new. Go back for seconds. Dance a little. Stay awhile. Explore today’s full lineup, make your Sunday game plan and meet us at Western Gateway Park until 5 p.m.

One day is plenty of time for a trip around the world. 🌎

Whether your Festival Passport is already covered in stamps or you’re picking one up for the first time today, there’s still time to play!

Here’s how it works:
- Pick up a Festival Passport at the Festival Information Booth
- Explore The Festival and collect 8 stamps along the way.
- Once you complete your Passport, turn it in at the Festival Merchandise booth to collect your prize!

You’ve got until 5 p.m. today. Ready, world travelers? The Festival Passport is presented by Floor & Decor.
