The Barnum Factory We offer private Office/ Studio/ Work units to entrepreneurs, creatives, musicians, artisits and small business owners. We are innovators. We are collaborators.

Allowing you to set up shop and collaborate. Our brand vision is to position our building and space to become a central figure in the cultural fabric of the city of Des Moines. We are artists. We are rule breakers. We are all makers inspired by the need to make a difference in a city poised to make a difference. We are advocates dedicated to curating a community more conscientious of its identity

and how it can transform the Des Moines cultural landscape for the better. We must position ourselves to play a key role in the success of our community of individuals and businesses. Facilitating a robust program of unique and diverse rental space opportunities is integral to the vitality of our organization. Our perspective must be dynamic and flexible while allowing for the engagement of a broader audience that can access and understand our voice and story. We must drive the conversation on contemporary environmental, design and cultural issues in our city and state by cultivating a robust and dynamic public forum that discusses the relevance of a highly diverse and vibrant culture and the magnitude of its importance.

It is with concrete weighted hearts that owners Breanne and Aaron have decided to no longer pursue getting back to doing art shows at The Factory. The municipal red tape has become too emotionally, financially, and physically exhausting.

The bright spot? We have a rare open studio space. We’ll be turning the art gallery into a private studio space. It’d be perfect for several artists to share or for someone who needs a larger space. $1500/mo all utilities and internet included. Email Aaron for more information [email protected]
