🌧️ IMPORTANT RECOVERY FESTIVAL UPDATE 🌧️

Due to the amount of rain we’ve already received and the forecasted weather for this weekend, we’ve had to make the difficult decision to POSTPONE the Recovery Festival, taking a literal “rain check”.

While we are disappointed that we won’t be celebrating with you this weekend, the safety of our attendees, volunteers, vendors, performers, and community has to come first. ❤️

📅 NEW DATE: October 24, 2026
📍 Same location: Riverview Park Concerts & Events, Des Moines

Please update your calendars, share this post, and help us spread the word! We appreciate everyone’s understanding and support, and we can’t wait to come together on October 24 to celebrate recovery, hope, and community. 💜

Same mission. Same community. New date. See you October 24!

Great communities are built by organizations willing to invest in the people who call them home.

As the presenting sponsor of the 2026 Rendezvous on Riverview Free Summer Concert Series, Polk County has made it possible for thousands of residents and visitors to enjoy free evenings filled with live music, local food, and meaningful connections at Riverview Park. Their commitment goes beyond supporting a concert series. It reflects an investment in vibrant neighborhoods, accessible public spaces, and the experiences that bring communities together. Week after week, families spread out blankets, friends reconnect, children dance in front of the stage, and neighbors who may have never met share an evening together. Those moments don’t happen by accident. They happen because partners like Polk County believe our parks should be places where everyone feels welcome and our communities have opportunities to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories.

To everyone at Polk County, thank you for believing in this event, this park, and the people who make our community so special. Your partnership has helped turn summer Fridays into something our community looks forward to each year, and we are truly grateful for your continued support.

If you’ve enjoyed a concert this season, help us show Polk County some love in the
comments!
