Here’s a recap of Tuesday’s H.R. 1 community conversation.

We brought community members and local experts together to discuss what the changes to Iowa Medicaid mean, who may be affected, possible exemptions, coverage renewals, and resources available to help people prepare.

We also heard from a community member whose experience reminds us why these conversations matter. Behind every policy change is a person trying to understand what comes next.

Food insecurity is about more than having enough food. It can affect your mental health, your family, and your ability to get through the day.

On October 29, My City My Health is bringing the conversation into the community.

We're partnering with Knock and Drop Iowa and NAMI Iowa for a My City Talks conversation about the connection between food insecurity and mental health.

We want to hear from the community, talk about what's happening, and explore how we can better support one another.

Medicaid is changing, and many people still have questions about what comes next.

On October 13, we’re bringing the conversation into the community.

This event is focused on helping people understand what to look for, where to go for help, and what local resources are available if Medicaid changes affect you or someone you know.

You’ll have a chance to ask questions, hear from community partners, and connect with people who can help you navigate the process.
