One of the best parts of Analog Salon is getting to meet people who are endlessly creative, generous, and always up to something interesting. Every month, we’re reminded just how special this community is.

What shapes a life?

At Analog Salon #13, Andy Mountain explored that question one song at a time.

Through stories of friendship, creativity, community, fatherhood, and the unexpected turns that shape us, Andy guided us through the music that has accompanied his journey.

One of the evening’s most memorable moments came at the end, when Andy shared music created by his son, NOVA, a beautiful reminder that music, like storytelling, moves across generations.

Thank you to Andy, everyone who joined us, and to Julie Davis & Joseph Pope III for welcoming us into Human Resources, a truly remarkable space high above downtown Denver.

We’ll be back at Human Resources on July 16 for A Family Affair with Amy, Michael, and Molly McGrath, a special evening exploring music, memory, creativity, and one of Denver’s most beloved artistic families.

Amy, Michael, and Molly McGrath come together for a night built around the music, images, and moments that have shaped their lives—and the creative world they’ve built together in Denver.
Across generations, their work has helped document, shape, and carry forward the city’s cultural landscape.

This isn’t just a lineup. It’s a family story told through sound, image, and memory.

A chance to hear how creative lives take shape over time, how influence is passed down, and how community is built and sustained.

Molly may already feel familiar—she’s joined us before as DJ Julie Oubliette, helping shape past nights on vinyl.

A new room this time, thirty floors up in the heart of downtown. What was once a quiet office floor is now something else entirely.

Please help us wish our friend Brandi McMichael a very happy birthday today 💛

If “vibrant” were a person, it might just be Brandi. Compassionate, passionate, endlessly creative, and the kind of person whose smile genuinely lights up a room.

One of our favorite Analog Salon evenings was getting to hear Brandi trace the many shapes of love through songs, stories, family, creativity, grief, dancing, and becoming. It felt a lot like her: joyful, thoughtful, deeply human, and full of heart.

We’ll be gathering in the magical space on the 30th floor of High Fidelity Plaza with Division of Labor high above downtown Denver.

From alternative and new wave to hip hop, R&B, and dance music, Andy Mountain’s taste in music reflects the same curiosity, creativity, and openness that have guided his work across Denver’s civic, cultural, and creative communities for decades. Through vinyl and storytelling, he’ll share the songs and records that shaped his perspective, relationships, and path through the world.
