It is with heavy hearts that the staff of HexaCon are announcing that HexaCon 2025 is officially canceled.

2025 update: We have been unable to find an affordable location at which to host a convention the scale of HexaCon, so it is currently on hiatus.

We are still working on 2026 and are hopeful that we will come to terms with a hotel.

Thank you for your patronage and understanding as the staff have worked tirelessly to try to get a venue for this year. We are not giving up!

Dear HexaCon Attendees, Vendors and Volunteers,

We have been getting a lot of messages from you all lately asking about HexaCon 2025. In the interest of honest transparency, we (the convention team) have decided to reach out to our community to let you know what's happening.

Since inception, HexaCon has continued to grow, and as of last year, we have had 750 attendees. That's nothing to s***f at! HexaCon has always been hosted by Shiny Garden, a non-profit. Money made from conventions we host go right back into the next event.

For some unknown reason, Hotels have tripled their prices when we ask for quotes to host our event. Even locations we have used in the past. Our little non-profit cannot afford a $32k price tag to host HexaCon. We have been searching for new and creative venue Ideas to mitigate this problem. Everywhere from banquet halls to community centers has been considered. We've even thought about outdoor venues. Our main requirements are lockable doors, overnight gaming allowed, and enough space to fit you all!

We are dedicated to make HexaCon happen in 2025. We have accepted the fact that it may not be around it's usual timing (MLK weekend). We are asking if you, our community, have any venue suggestions or contacts to send us an email at [email protected]. We will continue our search for a venue and give you all updates as we can. Let's make HexaCon 2025 happen!
