A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our race this year! We celebrated a milestone of nearly 3,500 runners crossing our finish line - the highest we've ever seen! That resulted in more money raised for Denton Community Food Center.

Thanks to all of our runners, sponsors and volunteers! We celebrated nearly 3,500 runners this year, and we were able to donate nearly $18K to the Denton Community Food Center.

The Downtown Denton Turkey Trot is almost here! We've highlighted below some important information for race day:

Packet Pickup
Packet pickup will be available on race day starting at 6:30 a.m. until the race starts. Registration will also be open for any last minute runners.

Canned Food and Pet Food Donations for Raffle Giveaways
We are collecting canned goods for the Denton Community Food Center. All donations will receive raffle tickets and the raffle will happen after the 5K ends. Winners will be announced at the DJ booth and will receive a gift card. There will also be collections of dog food for the Linda McNatt Animal Care and Adoption Center. You may bring these to the race on November 27.

Race Day Parking
Parking is free if you use public parking. Please note that the city of Denton does have some lots that you must pay for. You will be responsible for ensuring the payment of your vehicle if you decide to park there.

Race Day – Thursday, November 27, 2025 at 9:00 a.m.
Search Oak Street Draft House (308 E. Oak Street, Denton, Texas, 76201) in Google, and you’ll be taken directly to the race site.

If you aren’t able to pick up your packets at Greater Denton Arts Council, you can pick up your packet at the race site starting at 6:30 a.m. Additionally, registration will also be open during that time as well, so if you bring a friend, they can register! The Kids’ Gobble Wobble 1K will begin at 8:30 a.m. If you are a parent of a child running the 1K, you are more than welcome to run the race with them. There will be no charge.

Additionally, if your child has signed up for the 1K, and you are running the 5K, your child may run with you in the 5K at no charge as well. The Downtown Denton Turkey Trot 5K will begin at 9:00 a.m.

Strollers and dogs are welcome! Please note that we are expecting close to 3,700 participants, so please be courteous and start at the back of the pack. Bikes and scooters are not allowed due to safety regulations.

Late registration is easy. Go to the regular registration link before you get in line, pick up your bib, and, if we still have shirts available, get them first-come, first-served!

Packet Pickup Starts Tomorrow!

Packet Pickup
Taking place at Greater Denton Arts Council (400 E. Hickory Street, Denton, Texas, 76201) from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 26. The first 2,500 people to pick up their packets will receive a special edition beer can glass. You may pick up other people's packets, and all you will need is their first and last name. There will be two different lines for packet pickup - one line for individuals picking up for four or less packets, and a second line picking up for five or more packets. Please ensure to join the correct line. Packet pickup will also be available on race day starting at 6:30 a.m. until the race starts. Because we are expecting more than 3,700 participants this year, it is strongly encouraged to pick up your packets on Wednesday, the day before the race.

Packet Pickup Parking
Parking is free if you use public parking. The parking lot at Greater Denton Arts Council is limited in spaces, so there are several other lots you can park in that are within walking distance. Please view the map above.
