More photos coming soon—but what an incredible night at the #9 Gala Fundraiser this past Saturday!
#9 stood proudly out front, serving as a powerful reminder of why we gathered, as guests arrived and stopped to take photos and admire its history. The western theme brought everything together perfectly, and the entertainment truly couldn’t have been better.
The Malpass Brothers delivered an unforgettable performance with an intimate, two-man show on stage, while Laura Ashley Live Art amazed the crowd with a live speed painting—creating a beautiful collage of Denton FarmPark that was later auctioned off.
Overall, it was a fantastic evening, and we are so grateful to everyone who purchased a ticket and joined us in supporting this special cause. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We were pleasantly surprised today when someone shared a story with us that was written about our wonderful #9, the Handy Dandy Railroad, and the Southeast Old Threshers Reunion.

We are truly honored that dailywise chose to feature us in a story back in February. While there are a few details that could now be updated, we still encourage everyone to take a moment to read it.

We hope to reach out and thank them for choosing the Handy Dandy Railroad for their article. It would also be a pleasure to offer an interview for an updated story sometime in the future.
Many of you know we are in the process in raising money to get the steam locomotive back on the tracks where she belongs!

After another exciting weekend on the HDRR, one of our rainy day projects is now back on the rails for further testing!

Our small "critter" which is a gas/mechanical Plymouth locomotive hasn't been on the track since around 2018. Over the years it has received engine, transmission and electrical work.

This locomotive utilizes a flathead 6 cylinder Hercules engine. Fine tuning will continue in hopes that we will soon be using the locomotive on various MOW related tasks.
