CUTS.Q***RS.CLOTHING SWAP. VENDORS - COME HANG!

Join us on Sunday, May 4th, for Q***r Cuts! Come out to Tried and True Salon and Barnhart’s Barbershop to join Outreach Denton and WTFemme for cool cuts, vendors, a clothing swap, and raffle prizes. All ages welcome.

✂️ Walk in hair appointments available (Tried and True Salon, Barnhart's Barbershop) or book ahead of time (Barnhart's only).

🎵 DJ Bucky will be providing tunes during the event and Triptych Coffee Co will be onsite! ☕

Haircuts located indoors; Clothing swap, vendors, raffle items will be located outdoors.
Parking may be difficult to access. Street parking available around the square and nearest lot off W. Pecan St and N. Cedar St. Handicapped parking spaces available off W. Oak St.
3 single-stall, all- use restrooms (inside Tried and True and Barnhart’s)
Coffee and tea beverages available for purchase from Triptych.
Amplified sound (music) will be present during the event.
Outdoor event activities have limited coverage from the sun.
Limited covered seating on the back patio. Back patio accessible only by wooden stairs with hand rail.
Clothing swap, raffle, vendor booth area are mobility aid friendly. Outdoor cuts available to meet accessibility needs.
Location is surrounded by paved sidewalks.

Today, on Trans Day of Visibility, we honor the trans and nonbinary pioneers who paved the way for drag, burlesque, and q***r art as we know it. From the trailblazers of the past to the performers redefining the stage today, trans artists have been the heart of our scene. Their talent, resilience, and power fuel the very essence of what we celebrate at FemmeFest and What The Femme Productions.

Visibility is vital, but support is essential. Honor the trans community today and every day. Tell your trans friends you love and support them. Tip your trans performers. Donate to trans-led organizations. Call your legislators and demand they protect trans rights. Show up, speak out, and stand beside the trans community—because we don’t just celebrate visibility, we fight for justice.

Join our community as we march for our rights as q***r and trans folks. When our rights are under attack, we stand up and we fight back.

WTFemme Productions is seeking 1-2 performers for our Chick Habit showcase during Thin Line Film Fest on Saturday, April 26th at Rubber Gloves Rehearsal Studios in Denton, Texas. We are looking for acts that are film/movie or photography inspired. Psychedelic-centric acts are a preferred plus!
Accepted acts are paid $75 plus cash and electronic tips. There is no tip share.

WTFemme!? A Podcast Exploring the Femme.

Hello and welcome to WTFemme Podcast!

For those who don’t know me, my name is Marie de Menthe! We are now a podcast co-hosted by Marie de Menthe and Birdie Holly.

From Marie: Being Femme is something I’ve struggled with for most of my life. Wanting to be femme, but feeling awkward doing so based on the examples I had in my upbringing, combined with my lack of self worth for several years has made for an interesting journey to here. As I work to figure out what being femme means to me, I realized that learning from others might be the best route. I also love getting to know new people, hearing their history, and learning something new from them or with them. I hope, that through this podcast, I’ll not only be able to learn from others about what “femme” means to them, I’ll hopefully be able to learn more about what it means to me. All the while, elevating the voices of others and their artwork or creations. It’s going to be a wild ride! I’m really excited to be here, and to have you all here with me. Here’s to new beginnings and exciting ventures.
