Tractor Pull Rules
Revised 1/2025
General Rules:
1. Farm tractor models in production prior to and including 1960 are eligible for the Antique classes
2. Farm tractor models in production prior to 1985 are eligible for the Classic classes
3. All owners/ operators will pull at their own risk
4. All vehicles must be operated in a safe manner at all times
5. No passengers in/on pulling vehicles
6. All operators must remain seated during the pull and must have complete control of the vehicle at all times. Any operators demonstrating questionable driving skills will be challenged and track officials may refuse to hook
7. No consumption of alcoholic beverage on the premises either before, during, or after the event
8. No hole digging or jerking of the sled
9. All operators must wear shirt and closed-toe shoes. Long pants are preferred.
10. Contest is open to vehicles with rubber tires only. The following tire/wheel configurations are NOT acceptable: 4-wheel drive, duals, tire studs, chains, steel treads, or iron treads
11. All tractors must have functional rear wheel brakes
12. All engine fans and clutches must be shrouded with factory equivalent steel and all hood components in place
13. Factory fuel injection only. No multiple carbs, no turbo chargers unless factory installed and no nitrous oxide
14. Turbos must have the air shut-off valves installed and they must be functional. They will be checked
15. All tractors must have a strong rigid seat
16. T-A’s will be allowed and also differential locks
17. GPS devices will not be allowed in the Antique Slow Classes. No computers of any kind will be allowed in the Antique Slow Classes
18. All pull vehicles will be open to inspection by track officials. If there is a question of eligibility of the vehicle, the burden of proof is the responsibility of the owner/operator and must be proven by factory documentation. If there is any issue/complaint, there will be a non-refundable fee of $100 paid to the pull committee
19. Hook fee is $15 per hook. Hooks will be limited to 2 hooks per tractor unless otherwise posted or announced. Jackpot fees will be announced when needed.
Registration:
1. Registration will be accomplished downstairs in the tower. Only tractor pull committee members will be permitted upstairs in the tower.
2. All entry forms must be completed and signed. Any operators under the age of 18 will require the signature of a guardian.
3. Once you have registered you can will not be able to change your class unless you want to pay an additional hook fee. If your tractor breaks, you can drop the remaining classes and receive refund. You must notify track officials right away
4. Registration will close no later than 15 minutes before the pull starts
Tractor Requirements:
1. Wheelie bars are MANDATORY in ALL CLASSES! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!!!
2. Kill Switches are MANDATORY in all 6mph or faster classes
3. All weights should be secured and in the proper position. Weight bolts may not exceed 2” past the weights or tires, whichever is wider. Rear weights MUST NOT extend beyond the rear tires and must be in front of the wheelie bar bumpers. Rear weights should not hang over the hitch point. Front weights should not exceed 11 feet forward from the centerline of rear axle. For all weight classes, each tractor is allowed no more then 100 lbs. over the weight for that class. If there is any discrepancies with any tractors with weight, the top 3 in each class will be re-weighed
4. The first tractor in each class has the choice of a second hook/pull. If the operators want to attempt a second pull, they will pull in the third position (or close to that)and must accept the measurement of the second pull. Pullers must notify track officials before leaving the track after their first pull if they are coming back for a rehook.
5. Maximum speed at the pull is 3.5mph for Antique Slow Classes, 6mph for Antique Fast Classes, and 6mph for Classic Classes. A horn alarm is used to signal speed violations. Cones will be placed at the 75 foot mark. After those cones, you will get 2 horn blasts. The 2nd blast will mean you are DISQUALIFIED. If you are disqualified, you must stop your pull when flagged. DO NOT continue to pull. Each operator is solely responsible for hearing the horn blasts. We do have a light you can attach to your tractor if needed. Non-stock tractors are expected to be registered for the fast classes. If you pull slow you can also pull fast classes but the fast class must be heavier then the slow classes and the tractor must meet all the requirements for the fast classes.
6. If the pull committee thinks that a tractor is trying to enter into the incorrect class, they have the right to move you into the correct class
Drawbar Requirements:
1. Minimum drawbar length is 18” from the center of rear axle to point of hook measured horizontally
2. Point of Hook Requirements:
a. Maximum height of 20”
b. Not more than 1” in thickness
c. A 3 inch diameter opening with a cross sectional thickness of a minimum 7/8” - NO CLEVIS WILL BE ALLOWED!!!!!
d. Hook point may not be more than 1.5” from back edge of hitching device
e. The drawbar must be rigid in all directions and stationary in all directions
f. The drawbar must be parallel to the ground
If any parts or weights fall off the tractor during the pull, that entry will be disqualified.
