Wild West Songwriters Festival The Wild West Songwriter's Festival is a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the lyrical creation of some of today's hit songs, and the writers who penned them.

Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Meghan Trainor, Shania Twain, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flats, O.A.R., Jason Mraz, and many more A-List artists will be represented by their songwriting partners at the 12th annual Wild West Songwriter’s Festival, October 12th - 14th in Historic Deadwood, SD. Dubbed one of the “best live music festivals for fans” and one of the “top ten songwriter’s festivals you don’t want to miss,” the event features three days of free writer’s rounds which will feature songwriters who are excellent performers in their own right, singing the hits they have written and telling the story behind the music. The event culminates Saturday night with a Songwriter’s Jam in the Deadwood Mountain Grand Event Center featuring more than 18 artists on one stage!

🎸 Contestant Spotlight: Hey everyone! I'm TODD Live Music, a songwriter from White Lake, South Dakota. If you get the chance to come listen to me, you will hear songs about girls, alcohol, and driving 18 wheelers. Most of my inspiration comes from sitting behind the wheel of my own semi, or it will come at random when I am in my shop working on cars. Please come up to all the artists after you listen to our songs! We would all love to hear from you. Cheers!

Come for the songs. Stay for the stories. Leave with a few new favorites. 🎶🤠 See all the artists on our website, and we’ll see you in HISTORIC DEADWOOD, SD, October 15–17.

🎸 Contestant Spotlight! Kaspen Haley - Boxelder Stomp is a Wyoming singer-songwriter blending Americana, Red Dirt country, blues, and rock with a distinctly High Plains edge. A longtime flight nurse when he isn’t behind a guitar, Kaspen writes honest, story-driven songs shaped by real life, hard miles, family, loss, humor, and the people he’s met along the way. He has shared stages with artists including Dwight Yoakam, Jordan Davis, Uncle Kracker, Joe Nichols, Mark Wills, Charley Crockett, and Canaan Smith. Whether a song is rowdy, reflective, or somewhere in between, his goal is simple: write something real enough that somebody else can hear their own story in it.

The songs are calling, and Deadwood is the destination. 🎶 Explore all the artists on our website and join us October 15–17 in HISTORIC DEADWOOD, SD.
