🔧 What You’ll Do: (in part)
• Keep our fairgrounds, buildings, and event spaces clean, safe, and ready for action
• Oversee & assist with setups & tear downs for rental venue (tables, chairs, animal pens, tents, trade show booths & more!)
• Work with customers and guests to ensure top-notch experiences
• Lead and supervise seasonal staff, volunteers, and directors
• Handle general maintenance and improvement projects year-round
• Play a key role in preparing for the County Fair and other major events
👥 We’re Looking For Someone Who:
• Enjoys working with people and providing excellent customer service
• Enjoys hard work and is not afraid of physical labor
• Has hands-on experience in building & grounds maintenance
• Can lead a team with confidence and clear communication
• Thrives in a busy environment and takes initiative
• Can lift, move, and set up equipment (must be comfortable with physical work)
• Is flexible with scheduling (nights/weekends will be required)
• Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to pass a BCI background check

Hello...here are the facts regarding tonight's special (not emergency) fair board meeting. The Board is holding a special meeting to discuss the possibility of shifting the 2026 fair dates from Monday thru Saturday to Tuesday thru Sunday in order to capture an entire weekend. It has been researched and the Board has approval from the Ohio Department of Agriculture to shift dates. Concessionaires and the ride company have also been notified and all have been in agreement with the shift. 4-H and Jr. Fair would still have a 7 day fair (Monday thru Sunday) if the Board votes to shift the dates. All input is welcome and all are encouraged to attend the meeting. Tuesday, October 28th @ 6:00 pm at the Calumet Center 580 Calumet Lane, Dayton, OH 45417. The Board is on a timeline as they have to submit date changes they wish to make to ODA by November 1st. Tag anyone you wish so we can get the facts out there regarding tonight's meeting.
