Absolutely, sports definitely keep us physically and mentally healthy after SCI

Repost from

As we near the end of 2021, we've checked in with some past grant recipients to see how adaptive sports have impacted their lives and aided them on their journeys from Injury to Independence.

Bridget was paralyzed in a car accident at the age of 19 and was introduced to adaptive sports by a fellow patient early in her recovery. She can now be found playing tennis, handcycling, skiing, and water skiing and says "Adaptive sports and the community I've met through being involved in these programs have been 100% life changing since my injury. I couldn't be more grateful."
