Our next CEO on the GO spotlight takes Springboro Chamber President & CEO, Tracy Morgan, to Capabilities - Play for ALL Abilities, where she connected with Lindsey Gabriel and learned more about this welcoming indoor playground.

Designed for children with and without disabilities, Capabilities Play gives kids and adults with cognitive needs a place to play, explore, and connect. From field trips and parties to its wheelchair swing, said to be the only one of its kind in Ohio, they are creating more opportunities for accessible play in our community.

Monday- CLOSED
Tuesday- 10 to 3pm
Wednesday- Open 9 to 7pm
Thursday- Open 9 to 1130, Closing from 1130-1230 for group visit, then back open 1230-7pm.
Friday- Opwn 9 to 5pm, closing at 5 for Private event.
Saturday- Open 9 to 4pm, closing at 4 for private event.
Sunday Open 9 to 2pm, closing at 2pm for private events.

‼️Friendly reminder that we are now in our Fieldtrip and Party season! We appreciate your patience as we plan around these events. Hosting these events is what keeps our doors open and is the main chunk of our income.

October is Spina Bifida Awareness Month! 🎗

Let me tell you about my dude, Conrad! He is Ms. Lindsey's son who was a major inspiration for making Capabilities come to life. Conrad was born with L4-S1 Lipomyelocystocele. A rare type of Spina Bifida that is diagnosed less than 30% worldwide. His spine did not develop correctly causing nerve damage and other complications from the waist down.

Conrad is no stranger to struggle and setbacks in his short 5 years of life. Surgeries, Hospital admissions, therapies, appointments, tests, diagnosis list getting longer with each year. He has known struggle since the womb and will likely for most of his life. It's just the way things go for a medically complex child in a world that isn't made for you and very rarely accepts you.

He is strong. Determined. Resilient. Smart. Hilarious. Silly. Loving. For those that take the time to get to know who he is inside, there is no way you can't love him!

His life will be full of challenges and I can't change that for him.... but if I do anything right, it will be raising him to know his worth. To always claim his seat at the table. To know the diagnoses do not define him but can be used to fuel his determination to push the world towards acceptance, inclusivity and accessibility. That ALL his needs are worthy of being met.

To know he can do anything and everything he wants to.
