We are excited and honored to welcome Peaceful Forest to Davis, CA on July 14th! Led by taiko artist and lion dancer Takumi Kato, and joined by his three sons, Peaceful Forest is traveling from Japan across all 50 states with the goal of performing 1,000 times.

Come see Takumi Kato and his family on Monday July 14th at International House Davis. This family-friendly event will also include local performers, art vendors, and food vendors!

🌸 Thank you for joining us at the 10th annual Davis Cherry Blossom Festival! Our hearts are so full seeing how much our festival has grown over the years and how the community continues to return each year to celebrate Asian American joy, culture, and belonging.

We were so honored to be presented with a proclamation from the City of Davis recognizing the Davis Cherry Blossom Festival for contributions to cultural enrichment and community unity. Councilperson Gloria Partida presented the award during a 10th anniversary ceremony on Saturday night.

The support from the City of Davis Arts and Cultural Affairs Program had really allowed our program to thrive year after year. We are so grateful to this wonderful community for this opportunity to share space together through art, music, and celebration.

Tomorrow’s the day! Here are some tips for parking and transportation.

🌸 Lots of bike parking! (bring lock, no overnight parking)
🌸 Accessible from Unitrans P and Q lines, parking at MU is free if coming from campus
🌸 If Sudwerk lot is full, see map for nearby street parking
🐕 Pets on leashes are welcome outside, but keep in mind that there will be loud music and drums so check with them.
