You guys ROCK!!! Our first event was amazing! Can’t thank the community enough for coming together! Village of Davis Junction for the space and belief in us, Kona Ice of Rockford and Dia De Loz TaKos for refreshments, Royal Blue General Store, Waste Connections, and MISSION BBQ for the donations and support! Thank you to Mark Charvat as well for the tunes!

We CAN NOT wait to make this bigger and better!

We try to be as open and honest about everything we do, and we want you to do the same please! Let us know what you liked, what you didn’t, any changes you’d like to see, charities/organizations you think we should donate to…. Any input or criticism is greatly appreciated! It will help us build this bigger and better.

Random Tuesday morning thoughts…

I had a real epiphany on Saturday. Took my kids to town to grab something quick and we took my “red car,” as the kids have always called it. When my dad and I built that car back in 2004-2006, kids weren’t even on my radar. On Saturday, I was cruising in a car I’ve cruised in thousands of times but I was cruising with my babies and it was great. Never thought a car seat would dent the seats and seat covers I spent so much time and money replacing. Never thought little fingerprints would end up on every inch of the back seat. Never thought there’d be new dents from random bicycle crashes or electric ride-on toy disasters 😂 To some people, cars are just cars. To the lucky few, they become part of the family.

That car used to be 100% rust free, dent free, and “perfect.” Now? It’s got rust, bubbling paint, dents, rock chips, fingerprints, and plenty of wear from life happening around it. Honestly though, I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I’ve always said the only way that car leaves the family is through a tornado or an accident, and even then I’d probably buy the crumpled mess back from insurance and keep it forever.

Truth is, I’m blessed. I’m grateful. Some days I honestly feel like I don’t deserve the life I have, but I’m incredibly thankful for it. I wouldn’t trade my wife, kids, family, or even the memories tied to our vehicles for anything.

Random Tuesday morning thought coming off the long weekend. Hopefully everyone had a chance to slow down a little, remember what Memorial Day weekend is truly about, and spend quality time with friends and family.

Now let’s get back to it this week.
